Ernie Zakri teams up with Anggi Marito for ‘Kisah Penuh Kecewa' in bid to break into Indonesian market

KUALA LUMPUR, June 5 — Talented Malaysian singer Ernie Zakri is penetrating the Indonesian music market through a collaboration with promising young Indonesian singer Anggi Marito in a duet titled 'Kisah Penuh Kecewa'. The song marks the first collaboration in Ernie's upcoming album 'Sahabat', featuring collaborations between Ernie and Malaysian and Indonesian singers. According to Ernie, the choice of Anggi as her duet partner was based on the recommendation of the latter's record label in Indonesia. Ernie said she did not hesitate to accept it, believing in the potential of the 'Tak Segampang Itu' singer. 'Anggi is my first featured artiste in this project ('Sahabat'). When Universal Music Indonesia suggested Anggi, I immediately agreed because I knew it was a big opportunity to widen my reach. 'Besides that, Anggi is a very talented singer with a unique vocal strength. She is also technically skilled,' she told reporters after the song's launch yesterday. Ernie also said the duet's production process was different from the norm as it began with a special workshop involving the singers, lyricists and composers from both countries to collectively create the song. 'Usually, over there, we start with a workshop. It means we gather everyone involved and discuss the theme, melody and other elements. 'That's typically how the process goes. From there, Anggi and I also contributed ideas to the creation of the song. We completed it in just two to three hours,' she said. Meanwhile, Anggi described the experience of working with Ernie as fun and easy even though it was their first time meeting in person. 'Our chemistry developed quickly. We shared a lot of stories, including about life and children, so the connection formed naturally,' said the singer from Tarutung, north Sumatra. It was reported previously that Ernie's new album 'Sahabat', which is expected to be released later this year, will consist of 10 duet tracks. Among the singers reportedly collaborating with Ernie on the album are Dayang Nurfaizah, Amir Masdi, Andi Rianto and Ronny Parulian. Asked if she was also collaborating with Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza, Ernie replied: 'I'm praying for a long career so I'll have the chance to duet with great singers like Datuk Seri Siti Nurhaliza. I would not say no to including a duet with her. 'But everything is still in the planning stage. In fact, more artistes have been added to the 'Sahabat' album, and we'll reveal soon whether Datuk Seri Siti will be part of it or not.' — Bernama

Shaggy secretly working on ANOTHER album with Brit music legend as rapper lifts lid on their unlikely friendship

STING and Shaggy have one of the most unlikely friendships. But Mr Boombastic has revealed one of the reasons they struck up a close bond is thanks to booze. 9 Shaggy, who will support Pitbull at London's O2 Arena on June 9 and 10, told Bizarre's Jack: 'We have a lot in common. 'We are both Libras and both like the same gin – we love Monkey 47. What are the odds? 'We just connect over stupid s**t.' Shaggy added: 'We love taking long walks together. 'He's super competitive. 'Even if we are on a regular walk, Sting always has to go faster. 'He'll start walk-running. 'He is a brother I never knew I needed.' On what makes it so fun collaborating, he said: 'On one song we ended up laughing more than working, and I think we both decided we never wanted to stop laughing. Shaggy fans feel 'scammed' as he uses 'real voice' in new interview - but It Wasn't Me singer reveals why it's different 'Every time we connect, we just laugh. 'We are just two idiots.' In 2018, Shaggy and Sting released an album, 44/876, and now a new record is in the works. He said: 'We decided we are going to do another Sting and Shaggy album the other day, and I can't wait.' 9 CIARA'S MAGIC SHOW 9 CIARA helped her fans Level Up by surprising them at a dance class. She taught the group the floating chair move from her tune Ecstasy – and made levitating look like a piece of cake. It was part of Red Bull's Dance Your Style event, which saw Ciara and choreographer Jamaica Craft putting fans through their paces in Covent Garden, Central London, before her performance at Mighty Hoopla. We gave this a go in the office and it is just as hard as it looks. CRUZ HAS JACKIE ON BOARD 9 9 CRUZ BECKHAM is hard at work on his solo music – and he's got a new cheerleader joining him in the studio. My exclusive snaps show the youngest son of Posh and Becks heading to Shepherds Bush Studios in London with his girlfriend, singer-songwriter Jackie Apostel. My insiders tell me Cruz has been working for months on his material, with hopes of an official release later this year. They said: 'Cruz is in the studio most days and Jackie loves to join him when she's around. 'They have a shared passion for music. 'This is a really exciting time for Cruz. "He's got people supporting him and guiding him, including Luke Pritchard from The Kooks, and the tunes he's coming up with are sounding really great.' There could be a wait, however, with my mole adding: 'Cruz isn't rushing into releasing anything until what he has done is perfect.' NESSA'S DROP THREAD GORGEOUS 9 NESSA BARRETT rocked the final UK show of her Aftercare World Tour. The US singer looked incredible in a Shakira-inspired tasselled skirt and bra top on stage at the O2 Forum in Kentish Town, North London. She performed tracks including Dirty Little Secret and The One That Should've Got Away. Nessa will take the tour across Europe and to Australia this summer before returning to the UK in August where she's been booked to perform at Yungblud's Bludfest event. NIGHTLIFE A TONIC TO ROG 9 ROGER SANCHEZ is one of the hardest working DJs in the business. But he credits the late nights with keeping him looking so young, despite being two years off 60. Roger told me in an exclusive chat ahead of his next massive residency night at Pacha in Ibiza: 'I actually think the nightlife has kept me younger. 'People always ask, 'Who's your plastic surgeon?' 'I'm like, God, I've never had any work done. 'I drink lots of water. 'I think just being, and staying, healthy and having healthy practices does help you look younger and feel younger, which is actually even more important than looking younger. 'Thankfully, my energy is still at a very high level, and that allows me to keep that youthful appearance.' BEY LOVE MATCH BID FOR JAMIE HEART Breakfast radio host Jamie Theakston has revealed Beyonce once tried to set him up with Kelly Rowland. Yes, really. The presenter revealed on air yesterday that the Single Ladies singer attempted to play Cupid backstage at Top Of The Pops in the Nineties when he was interviewing Destiny's Child. Jamie said: 'Beyonce tried to set me up with Kelly Rowland. 'Destiny's Child were on Top Of The Pops and I was chatting to Beyonce and she said, 'Are you single?' 'I can't remember how it came about and she said, 'Oh, Kelly's single, you two would make a fantastic . . . ' 'And I went, 'Oh stop it Beyonce, leave me alone'.' Laughing, Jamie, above, added: 'How different my life would have been.' SABRINA'S MANCHILD BARRY DIG 9 SABRINA CARPENTER is still using her ex Barry Keoghan as inspiration six months after their split. The singer wasn't shy about putting the Irish actor in her songs when they were dating, including on racy track Bed Chem. Sabrina's new song Manchild is out today, and announcing it on Instagram she wrote: 'This one's about you.' The lyrics include, 'Inside of your head when you've just won an argument with a man.' I'm sure when we hear the full track, it's going to be pretty punchy. Sabrina's fans jumped all over the post saying it was about Barry, who was accused of cheating on the US star before their relationship ended. Both their camps insisted they'd just grown apart when they broke up in December. NEW Ibiza club UNVRS, backed by Will Smith, has top tech, screens suspended from the ceiling and a life-sized crashed UFO. But more strangely, there is a DJ and decks set-up in the middle of the toilets. Guests have told us they wandered about for ages trying to find the loos, which are called the Wild Comet room. AMANDA HOLDEN says the secret to staying ahead of her rivals after 20 years in showbiz is the ability to adapt. The Britain's Got Talent judge told us: 'You have to evolve, you have to keep going. 'You can't just say, 'It's not great or it's not this'. 'Embrace it, learn all about it and go with it. 'Then you have a wider reach.'

Reality Star Brandi Glanville Teams Up With RIP Youth And Achieves Dance-Pop Glory

Dance-pop artist Rip Youth teams up with Brandi Glanville and Beks for 'Remedy' — a vibrant summer anthem celebrating trust, growth, and reinvention. LA, CA, UNITED STATES, May 23, 2025 / / -- Australian dance-pop pioneer Rip Youth makes a powerful return with his latest single 'Remedy', a vibrant, vocal-driven anthem featuring an unexpected yet electric collaboration with reality TV star Brandi Glanville and rising pop talent Beks. A feel-good fusion of genre-blending production and raw vocal energy, Remedy is more than a summer-ready track — it's a testament to creative chemistry, mutual trust, and artistic growth. 'There's also a trust factor,' Rip Youth explains. 'Brandi knows I've been making music for a long time, so I'd tell her when something was off, and she would trust my opinion. But honestly, Brandi is a great writer - she didn't need much help in that department.' While Glanville is widely known for her role on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, her vocal talent is winning over both fans and former castmates. Since the track's release, Remedy has garnered support across social media from familiar names like Lisa Rinna, Phaedra Parks, Camille Grammer, Teresa Giudice, and Kristen Taekman — a wave of support that surprised even Glanville herself. 'The reaction to the song so far has been amazing,' Rip Youth shares. 'Seeing Brandi's ex-castmates sharing it was a really beautiful, unexpected nod to her and her vocal talent. Especially after the whole debacle with Bravo, it's easy for people to side with popular opinion or whoever's signing the checks. So I think even Brandi was a little taken aback.' Back in the studio, Glanville embraced the process with her signature perfectionism and surprising ease. 'She showed up a little nervous,' he says, 'because everything she does, she wants it to be the best. But once we settled into a safe space, she relaxed. Our vocal producer Matt held her hand through it, and before long, she was surprised at how good she sounded. We even had her add some love to the chorus.' For Glanville, the project marked a full-circle moment — connecting her early love of performance with a new chapter in music. 'I'm looking forward to traveling again to promote and perform Remedy with people I adore,' she says. 'Everyone who was involved in this song is awesome.' And the passion runs deep: 'I did dance and gymnastics as a child and absolutely loved performing,' she adds. 'I used to choreograph my own floor routines and pick my own music - let's just say, some people were in shock, LOL.' About Rip Youth Rip Youth is a LA-based dance-pop producer known for genre-blending hits and infectious hooks. His previous collaborations include work with Bombs Away and renowned vocalists across the globe. About Brandi Glanville Brandi Glanville is a television personality, New York Times bestselling author, and podcast host best known for The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Remedy marks a bold step into her evolving creative career. About Beks Beks is a rising Australian singer-songwriter and performer known for her dynamic stage presence and emotive vocals. Miley Cyrus Unveils ‘Something Beautiful' Track List, Featuring Brittany Howard, Naomi Campbell

It's quite fitting that an album titled Something Beautiful includes a collaboration with an actual supermodel. On Monday, Miley Cyrus revealed the track list for her upcoming album, which includes collaborations with Naomi Campbell and rock star Brittany Howard. Cyrus unveiled the Something Beautiful track list in a 23-second teaser clip for the album's accompanying short film. The album is set to feature songs titled 'Golden Burning Sun,' 'Reborn,' 'More to Lose,' and 'Give Me Love,' along with a pair of unnamed interludes. (The teaser included a snippet of the song 'Easy Lover.') While it's unclear in what capacity Campbell is featured on the record, she'll join Cyrus on 'Every Girl You've Ever Loved.' Meanwhile, Howard joins her for 'Walk of Fame.' Cyrus and the Alabama Shakes frontwoman performed covers of Sinéad O'Connor's 'Nothing Compares 2 U' and Queen's 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' together during SNL50: The Anniversary Special back in February. Cyrus is set to release Something Beautiful on May 30, followed by its short film premiering on June 6 at the Tribeca Film Festival before it hits theaters nationwide on June 12. A synopsis of the project, directed by Cyrus with Jacob Bixenman and Brendan Walter, describes it as 'a unique visual experience… including 13 original songs from the upcoming album. A one-of-a-kind pop opera from the mind of Miley Cyrus.' The pop star dropped 'More to Lose' this month with an emotional video, following April's lead single 'End of the World.' Jonas Brothers And Backstreet Boys Are Both Riding High On Unlikely Charts

The Backstreet Boys and Jonas Brothers land country chart hits thanks to Rascal Flatts ... More collaborations featured on the upcoming Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets. NEW YORK, NEW YORK - AUGUST 12: (L-R) Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, and Nick Jonas pose onstage before Jonas Brothers "Five Albums, One Night" Tour Opening Night at Yankee Stadium on August 12, 2023 in New York City. (Photo byfor Live Nation) The Backstreet Boys and Jonas Brothers rank among the most successful boy bands of all time in America, although some might argue that the latter is now more of an all-male musical group, and not a traditional boy band. Regardless of the distinction, both acts have enjoyed impressive success at pop radio over the years. This week, both acts appear on rankings focused on a genre few would typically associate them with — country. The Backstreet Boys and Jonas Brothers have landed new hits on one of Billboard's country rankings, though not on their own – and not on the same tally. The Backstreet Boys earn a new top 10 smash on the Country Digital Song Sales chart this week. "What Hurts the Most," a reinterpretation of the Rascal Flatts single of the same name, opens at No. 6. The boy band teams up with the original group to reinvent the decades-old favorite. According to Luminate, the collaboration sold 2,050 copies in its first tracking week. It marks the Backstreet Boys' second win on the Country Digital Song Sales chart, which ranks only the bestselling tunes in America classified as country. At the same time, "What Hurts the Most" also becomes the Grammy-nominated band's tenth placement on the all-genre Digital Song Sales chart. It debuts at No. 21 on that 25-spot roster. Meanwhile, the Jonas Brothers are on the rise on the Country Airplay tally, often considered one of the most competitive and important radio rankings published by Billboard. "I Dare You," another duet with Rascal Flatts, steps up one space to No. 30. The track has now spent 14 frames on the list and has climbed as high as No. 24. That stands as the highest position the Jonas Brothers have ever reached on this ranking, as "I Dare You" remains the group's only hit on the tally to date. Both "What Hurts the Most" and "I Dare You" are featured on Life Is a Highway: Refueled Duets, which is set for release in early June. The project sees Rascal Flatts re-recording many of the band's biggest singles as collaborations with fellow superstars. "I Dare You" is the only new track on the album and one of just a handful that includes pop singers. In addition to the Backstreet Boys, other featured artists on the collection include Blake Shelton, Jason Aldean, and Kelly Clarkson.
