Altercation causes panic at Haywood Mall
GREENVILLE, S.C. (WSPA) – The Greenville Police Department responded to an assault inside of the Haywood Mall.
At approximately 8 p.m., police said an off-duty officer was alerted of an assault that took place in the food court of the Haywood Mall. According to police, people were seen fleeing the area and yelling that someone was shooting.
Officers confirmed no shots were fired during the altercation. The loud noises were determined to be chairs being thrown and hitting the ground.
No arrests have been made at this time.
