2026 4-star WR and Texas A&M commit being heavily pursued by other programs
Texas A&M landed three wide receivers in the 2026 class, as four-stars Aaron Gregory, Mike Brown, and Madden Williams represent the future Aggie pass catchers, all highly skilled and perfect fits in OC Collin Klein's offense. However, with great talent comes outside attention, especially for Madden Williams, one of the rising prospects in California.
This week, it was reported by Rivals recruiting insider Adam Gorney that while Williams continues to stay committed to the Aggies, while also recruiting fellow 2026 California prospects to College Station, like many of A&M's non-Texas-based prospects. On the field, Williams is one of the best route runners in the cycle, while possessing the size and quickness to become a No. 1 receiving option at the next level.
Given his intriguing traits, nearly every major West Coast program, including USC has been all-in on flipping Williams, and no one can criticize him for weighing his options before making a final decision. So far, Williams will take official visits to Washington on May 30, Florida State on June 6, USC on June 13, and Texas A&M on June 20.
As I've stated in the past regarding recruiting patterns, the team that receives the final official visit usually has an edge, and the fact that Williams is "strongly" committed to Texas A&M, head coach Mike Elko and his staff should be pretty good about where they stand with the talented pass catcher.
According to Rivals, Madden Williams is currently positioned as the 92nd-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the 14th-ranked wide receiver, and the 13th-ranked prospect in California.
