Israel ‘preparing for strike on Iran's nuclear facilities'
Israel is believed to be preparing to strike Iran, even as the US negotiates a nuclear agreement with the country.
American intelligence has intercepted communications and observed military preparations for the possible imminent strike on Iranian nuclear facilities, CNN reported.
The account comes as tensions rise between President Trump and Binyamin Netanyahu, the Israeli prime minister — who had been planning a strike on Iran before the US leader vetoed the idea and instead announced talks with Tehran in March.
Israel has long advocated military action against Iran's nuclear facilities, arguing for the complete dismantlement of Tehran's nuclear programme. It had opposed a deal reached under Barack Obama to lift sanctions on Iran in return for reduced uranium enrichment.
Trump had withdrawn from that agreement
