Sada installs pressure relief valves for steady water supply during Lima '25
LANGKAWI: Syarikat Air Darul Aman Sdn Bhd (Sada) has installed three pressure relief valves (PRVs) to prevent pipe bursts during the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2025 (Lima '25).
The measure is intended to reduce the risk of water leakage caused by high pressure during peak hours and to ensure uninterrupted water supply throughout the event.
In a statement on its official Facebook page, Sada said the PRVs have been installed at three locations, namely the Police Training Centre on Jalan Kuala Muda, Rebak Marina, and Jalan Pantai Kok.
"The project was carried out using internal funding and is part of Sada's proactive preparations to ensure a stable water supply during Lima '25.
"The main function of the PRVs is to control pressure and stabilise water flow, particularly in high-elevation areas and those at the end of the distribution system," the statement read.
It added that the areas set to benefit from the project include the Mahsuri International Exhibition Centre (MIEC), The Ritz-Carlton Hotel, and the surrounding areas.
"Sada hopes that this initiative will help manage the increased water demand throughout Lima '25 and minimise any disruptions to the water supply," it said.
The 17th edition of Lima will take place from May 20 to 24, with the aerospace segment held at MIEC and the maritime segment at Resorts World Langkawi.
