Police investigating deadly shooting involving officer in southwest Atlanta
Multiple law enforcement agencies are investigating a deadly shooting involving an officer in southwest Atlanta.
Channel 2's Bryan Mims is on the scene at McDaniel Street.
Atlanta police confirmed to Mims that the shooting was officer-involved and fatal, though other details were not yet available.
At the crime scene, police tape is visible in multiple areas around the Heritage Station Apartments.
Officers from the Fulton County Police Department were at the location speaking with witnesses.

Mims said a Fulton County Sheriff's Office vehicle was also on scene, though the office said they are not involved in the investigation.
Atlanta police officials also said they are not investigating the incident, and referred Channel 2 Action News to speak with the Fulton County Police Department.
Neighbors told Channel 2 Action News that the incident started after they saw a suspicious man walking around the apartment complex.
The neighbor said a Fulton County Police officer who lived there was told about the suspicious man and went to go speak to him.
After a discussion, neighbors told Mims that shots were fired.
Channel 2 Action News is working to learn more about the developing situation.
