Al-Mashhadani arrives in Algeria for the Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union
INA – BAGHDAD Speaker of Parliament Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani arrived in Algeria on Friday to participate in the 38th Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union. Al-Mashhadani arrived in Algeria, accompanied by a high-level parliamentary and administrative delegation. The Iraqi delegation was received at Algiers Airport by the President of the Algerian National People's Assembly and President of the Arab Parliamentary Union, Ibrahim Boughali, said the media office of the Speaker of Parliament in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency - INA. Boughali welcomed the Iraqi delegation, expressing his country's ambition 'to strengthen relations with the Republic of Iraq in all fields.' The two sides valued 'the positions of the two countries on Arab issues in general, and the Palestinian issue in particular,' commending 'the positions of the rest of the Arab and Islamic countries towards it.' The statement concluded, "Al-Mashhadani is scheduled to deliver Iraq's speech at the conference. His agenda also includes a meeting with a number of heads of Arab parliaments and councils on the sidelines of the conference, which will be held from May 3 to 4."

Al-Mashhadani heads to Algeria at the head of a parliamentary delegation
INA – BAGHDAD Parliament Speaker Mahmoud Al-Mashhadani departed for Algeria on Friday. "Al-Mashhadani left the capital, Baghdad, for Algeria at the head of a high-ranking parliamentary delegation," stated the Speaker's media office in a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency – INA. The statement added that "the delegation will participate in the 38th Conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, scheduled to be held on Saturday and Sunday, May 3rd and 4th."
