The Oscars' ‘In Memoriam' tribute left out Michelle Trachtenberg and Tony Todd
It can't be easy to put together the "In Memoriam" tribute at the Academy Awards every year. With such limited time, how do you properly honor those in the industry who recently passed away? The entire award show could be an "In Memoriam" and it still wouldn't feel sufficient. Yet the montage on Sunday night's broadcast fell into the same trap it does every year with some beloved actors and actresses getting left out of tribute. GENE HACKMAN: See Morgan Freeman's moving tribute at the Academy Awards Eagle-eyed viewers on social media immediately noticed a few big names not mentioned on the broadcast, including Michelle Trachtenberg, Olivia Hussey and Tony Todd. While all three are honored on the Oscar's dedicated "In Memoriam" page online, they were not shown in the montage during the show on ABC. Their fans were, understandably, not happy.
