Katherine Ryan left 'shocked' as she reveals some celebrity guests on her podcast are secret 'crackheads'
Katherine Ryan was shocked to learn some former celebrity guests on her What's My Age Again? podcast were 'crackheads' after opening up about their dark past. The comedian, 41, revealed 'so many celebs' - especially nineties stars - have been admitted to smoking crack cocaine. It seems the stars were more than happy to 'overshare' about their past, leaving host Katherine stunned of the unknown fact. According to The Sun, Katherine said at London's SXSW festival: 'I love people who overshare, it does not surprise me. 'Now people stop me on the street to tell me about their divorces. But I was shocked to learn we had crackheads on the podcast. We had so many celebs, especially famous in the Nineties, who would abuse, and bounce back.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The podcast is described as 'a refreshing and humorous take on ageing, wellness, and self-discovery'. It features interviews with some of the UK's most famous faces, who have all undergone a blood test to determine an accurate reflection of their biological age, as opposed to their chronological age. Each week, Katherine and her guests are also joined by Dr Nichola Conlon, a specialist in longevity and cellular ageing, who interprets the test results. Katherine recently revealed she's turning her back on filler as she discussed ageing in her podcast in April. She admitted that she thinks once you're 'over 40 the filler has to go' as it 'ages you more.' She recalled: 'I was on TV before I realised you don't go on TV without Botox. I get everything (Botox) and there's nothing I don't do. 'I think I definitely dabbled in a bit of filler before and then I had a photoshoot for a podcast I was doing back in the day.' Katherine added: 'I think physical age like what we're talking about, the Botox and filler, it has to go - it ages you even more.' She admitted that she thinks once you're 'over 40 the filler has to go' as it 'ages you more' The podcast is described as 'a refreshing and humorous take on ageing, wellness, and self-discovery' Elsewhere in the podcast episode, the comedian joked that when she reaches 80, she will 'be doing MDMA'. She said: 'I've got a lot of plans for my elderly age. When I am chronologically 80, if I am by the grace of God, I will be doing MDMA for the first time.' Other future guests set to join Katherine's brand new podcast include Olivia Attwood, Romesh Ranganathan, Adam Buxton, Jill Scott, Bryony Gordon, Dame Sheila Hancock, Sophie Ellis Bextor, Alastair Campbell and Dame Denise Lewis. The podcast has premiered on all major platforms, including Rayo, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and Google Podcasts. Lucie Cave, Bauer Media Audio's Chief Creative Officer said: 'We are absolutely thrilled to welcome What's My Age Again? to our podcast family. 'Katherine has always had a unique ability to blend humour with meaningful conversation, and this podcast takes that to a whole new level. 'The concept of measuring glycolic age rather than biological age is groundbreaking, and with Katherine's wit and her celebrity guests, we believe it will be an engaging, entertaining, and educational experience for listeners. 'It's truly a perfect match, and I know listeners are going to love this innovative new show.'
