Sarah, Duchess of York has taken to social media to share an important update with her followers regarding mental health awareness.
As a committed supporter of various charitable endeavours, the Duchess disclosed that she has recently visited @paracelsusrecovery in Zurich, a clinic renowned for its confidential and tailored care for individuals grappling with intricate mental health and addiction issues.
In her post, she stated: "Mental health touches us all - it has no boundaries. We need to promote open conversations about mental health and how we can improve access to mental healthcare across society.
I recently spent time at @paracelsusrecovery in Zurich, a clinic known for its discreet, bespoke care for those facing complex mental health and addiction challenges, to learn more," reports the Express.
In May, Edinburgh Live reported how Sarah's daughter Princess Eugenie opened up about her own health struggles and the crucial role her mother played in helping her be proud, rather than afraid, of her battles.
Eugenie, 35, was speaking alongside her sister Princess Beatrice on the 'Lessons From Our Mothers' podcast hosted by Cressida Bonas and Isabella Branson when she mentioned a health condition she has battled for over 20 years.
She told the hosts that she has had scoliosis, an abnormal curvature of the spine, since she was just 12-years-old. The condition was so acute that she had to have an operation.
It was during the process of hospitalisation and the aftermath of that experience that Eugenie revealed just how crucial a role her mother Sarah had played in her ability to thrive following the diagnosis.
