Ryan Reynolds shocks as he leans in for KISS with Blake Lively's SISTER… but all is not what it seems
shocked when he leaned in for kiss with Blake Lively 's sister… but all is not what it seems. The actor, 48, spoofed American medical sitcom Doogie Howser, M.D. in a response to the show's star Neil Patrick Harris voicing Deadpool for Marvel's new VR game. Ryan, who has played the anti-hero since 2009, reacted to the news with a hilarious video, parodying Neil's character and mocking the casting choice. Blake's half sister Robyn, 53, played Nurse Michele Farber in Doogie Howser, M.D., and made a cameo for the spoof. In the clip, Ryan types up a letter on his computer and reads aloud: 'Today, I learned a lesson about buttholes they don't teach you in medical school. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. He continued: 'People who steal your signature role are the biggest buttholes of all. No, I don't blame Meta Quest. 'Neil Patrick Harris is an amazing actor with the nurturing voice of an angel, but even though I haven't hit puberty yet, I still know when you're getting totally screwed.' Robyn then walks into shot, with Ryan shouting: 'My girlfriend! What are you doing here? If my dad sees you here, he's gonna freak.' 'You're a 48-year-old man,' she replied. He continues: 'I'm a 14-year-old medical prodigy who's going through the change,' before adding: 'Robyn, you're being paid.' Remaining in character, Ryan then leans in for a kiss wit Robyn, but stops: 'I don't think we should do that because you're my sister-in-law.' Elsewhere, the actor's upcoming movie has been delayed by a staggering seven months - amid his wife Blake's legal drama with Justin Baldoni. Animal Friends, an R-rated combination of live-action and animation starring Reynolds, was previously slated for release this autumn on October 10, 2025. Now, however, the Warner Bros Pictures and Legendary Entertainment production has been postponed and will bow next year on May 1, 2026, according to Deadline. The date change went public this Tuesday, but no reason was officially announced for the substantial alteration in scheduling. May 1, 2026 was supposed to be the release date of the upcoming Marvel film Avengers: Doomsday, but that picture has now been bumped to December 18, 2026, potentially leaving an opening for Animal Friends at the start of May. Reynolds is at the top of a glittering cast including Aubrey Plaza, Jason Momoa, Addison Rae, Eric André, Dan Levy and Rob Delaney.

Sarah Sherman ‘Never Meant to Hurt Anyone's Feelings' With Aimee Lou Wood ‘SNL' Parody
When Aimee Lou Wood referred to Sarah Sherman's parody of her in a recent White Lotus-themed sketch on Saturday Night Live as 'mean and unfunny,' it highlighted just how much the show missed the mark. Reflecting on the incident in a recent interview with Vanity Fair, Sherman acknowledged the contrast between her intention and the overall execution of the bit, which largely mocked Wood's appearance. 'I was excited to play her because she's so iconic, her character is so iconic,' Sherman said. 'And I fucking obviously never meant to hurt anyone's feelings. Never in a million years did I get into comedy to make anyone upset. I feel terrible that anyone would feel bad.' Wood also noted that while she understands the nature of the sketch comedy series as one that is rooted in popular culture, she saw the treatment of her character in particular as cheap comedy. 'I don't mind caricature – I understand that's what SNL is. But the rest of the skit was punching up and I/Chelsea was the only one punched down on,' she said at the time. 'Not Sarah Squirm's fault and not hating on her. Hating on the concept.' Sherman has been on Saturday Night Live for four seasons, but the responsibility attached to her work is ever-changing. 'The show is in constant dialogue with culture as it's happening, and it happens really fast,' she said. 'You have to be vigilant, you know what I mean? There are a lot of things out of your control. You're playing a lot of different parts, you're doing a lot of different roles that you're not in control.' She added: 'Being in conversation with everything popular culture, there's such a danger there. Sometimes you just don't realize how it comes across, but you're put in a position to be engaging with it all the time, because you are a part of a show that's constantly interacting with culture and popular politics and popular whatever. As I get thrown more and more into the show, it's just this other thing that I have to learn about.'
