Tom Cruise in talks for 'Les Grossman' spinoff: Serious conversations underway, confirms director McQuarrie

Picture Credit: X Hollywood star Tom Cruise is having serious conversation about bringing back his Tropic Thunder character Les Grossman in a sapinoff During an interview with Josh Horowitz on his Happy Sad Confused podcast to promote "Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning", director Christopher McQuarrie said he and Cruise have had "serious" conversations about making a standalone Les Grossman movie, reports "The conversations we've had about Les Grossman are so f---ing funny," McQuarrie, 56, said during his interview. "(Cruise and I are) talking about it. We're having very serious conversations about it, and how best to do it." McQuarrie added that amid the serious challenges of filming "The Final Reckoning", a relief came from discussing the chaotic character. In the 2008 Ben Stiller-directed movie, Cruise's Grossman is known for his explosive temper and giant hands, plus some hilarious dancing abilities. "Just to be sitting at a breakfast table not talking about the movie we're making for a minute is such decompression. And just riffing with Tom playing Les Grossman at the table, it was one of the real joys of making this movie," McQuarrie said. "It was all the stuff we were doing, planning the future while slugging out the present." Cruise's latest project sees him reprise his role as Ethan Hunt in the potentially final Mission: Impossible film, which earned a five-minute standing ovation during the Cannes Film Festival. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Trade Bitcoin & Ethereum – No Wallet Needed! Britney Spears Reprimanded For Smoking Cigarette During Flight To Los Angeles

Los Angeles: Pop icon Britney Spears was reprimanded in-flight over her behaviour. Multiple sources confirmed that while traveling from Cabo San Lucas to Los Angeles with her security, the singer was drinking alcohol and lit a cigarette during the flight, which is a violation of federal aviation regulations, reports The move alarmed flight attendants on the charter plane, who said that Spears put out the cigarette. Regardless, authorities were contacted mid-flight. When the plane landed, the 'Toxic' hitmaker was met by authorities and warned about her in-flight conduct, and was then free to leave, reports "This is not her first warning," a source told the portal. The source added: "She doesn't exactly follow the rules." Public charter operator JSX, that Spears was aboard, has no comment regarding the incident, while a representative for the singer did not return a request for comment. Spears was under a conservatorship for 13 years following mental health concerns after a series of troubling incidents in the early 2000s. Her father Jamie served as the conservator of her estate. She successfully petitioned the court to terminate the conservatorship in November 2021. Since the conservatorship ended, Spears has released her best-selling memoir, The Woman in Me. In the tell-all book, she spoke about her childhood, her relationship with Justin Timberlake, dancing with a snake during the 2001 MTV VMAs and other anecdotes about her life in the spotlight. Ahead of Spears' book release, the singer talked about moving on from the conservatorship that oversaw her life from 2008 to 2021. "Over the past 15 years or even at the start of my career, I sat back while people spoke about me and told my story for me,' she said about reclaiming her voice. After getting out of my conservatorship, I was finally free to tell my story without consequences from the people in charge of my life," Spears added.

Parton shared her confidence that "some great person" will be found and cast to play Rhodes. "I really would love to see the show, and I'd love to be able to write some music, be involved in that way with it," Parton said.
