Oman and EU hold 5th round of political consultations
Muscat: The fifth round of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the European Union's External Action Service was held at the Foreign Ministry. The Omani delegation was led by His Excellency Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al-Harthy, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign for Political Affairs, while the European side was headed by His Excellency Olaf Skoog, Deputy Secretary-General for Political Affairs at the European External Action Service. During the session, both parties reviewed existing relations between Oman and the European Union and discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation through strategic partnerships and economic agreements. They also exchanged views on key regional and international issues of mutual interest. The consultations were attended by Her Excellency Roua bint Issa Al-Zadjali, Oman's Ambassador to Belgium and Head of its Mission to the European Union, Annette Weber, the European Union's Special Envoy to the Horn of Africa, and several officials from both sides.

Saudi deputy minister meets Portuguese foreign ministry official
RIYADH: Saudi Deputy Minister for Political Affairs Saud Al-Sati met Helena Malcata, director-general of foreign policy at the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Riyadh on Tuesday. The two officials headed the second round of political consultations between the two countries, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a post on X. During the meeting, the two sides discussed bilateral relations and ways to enhance them in various fields. Portuguese Ambassador to the Kingdom Nuno Matias was present during the meeting.

Saudi deputy FM receives EU official in Riyadh
RIYADH: Saudi Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji received Olof Skoog, deputy secretary-general for political affairs at the European External Action Service, and his accompanying delegation, in Riyadh on Sunday. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the Kingdom and the EU and other topics of common interest, the Foreign Ministry wrote in a post on X. A meeting was also held as part of the third round of political consultations between the Kingdom and the EEAS. Senior officials from both sides participated in the session, chaired by Raed bin Khalid Qarmli, director-general of the general directorate of policy planning at the Saudi Foreign Ministry, with Skoog representing the European side.

Qatar, Philippines hold round of political consultations
MANILA: The second round of political consultations between the ministries of foreign affairs of the State of Qatar and the Republic of the Philippines was held in the Philippine capital, Manila. Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Dr Ahmed bin Hassan Al Hammadi chaired the Qatari side, while Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Foreign Affairs for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs HE Maria Theresa Lazaro, chaired the Philippine side. During the consultations, the two sides discussed relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to a number of topics of common interest.
