POLL — Would you buy an elaborate movie popcorn bucket?
Collectible popcorn buckets are getting pretty complex
Popcorn buckets have really been popping off.
If you've been to the movie theatres lately, you might have noticed some of the elaborate and expensive buckets offered at the snack stand.
These buckets usually tie into current movies, often as a way to help promote them.
The public is encouraged to 'collect' them.
Canadian theatre chain Landmark Cinemas recently offered creatively shaped popcorn buckets to promote A Minecraft Movie, as well as Stitch-themed ones for Lilo & Stitch.
CBC Kids News couldn't confirm the prices, but found information on another themed bucket from Landmark Cinemas — a Coliseum shape for Gladiator II.
It costs $39.99 and comes with a large popcorn.
Butter is extra.
Here's what some buckets look like
The Minecraft buckets come in the shape of Creepers, a monster from the game, or an axe, one of the tools players use to build.

The Lilo & Stitch buckets have Stitch holding a pineapple or carved coconut.
In the U.S., movie chains like Regal Cinemas are already promoting buckets themed for upcoming movies Superman and Jurassic World: Rebirth.
The Superman one has the superhero using his heat vision to cook a popcorn kettle like the ones many movie theatres usually use at their concession stands.

For Jurassic World: Rebirth, the popcorn bucket has a baby dinosaur inside an incubator, in reference to how scientists clone dinosaurs in the film series.
The price has not been announced.

And the How to Train Your Dragon bucket lets you eat popcorn out of Toothless's mouth.
It costs $53.95 US (about $74 Cdn).
Now that you've seen some of these creative buckets and prices, we want to hear what you think!
