Shocking moment Pat McAfee gets brutally choked out by WWE star on post-WrestleMania show
Pat McAfee's face turned a shade of light red as WWE star Gunther brutally choked him out on Monday's episode of RAW in a shocking moment between the behemoth and wrestling commentator. In addition to his ESPN hosting duties, McAfee is a color commentator for the WWE and rarely gets physical with the wrestlers. Gunther appeared in the middle of WWE's first post-WrestleMania 41 show, arguing outside the ring with McAfee and the company's play-by-play commentator, Michael Cole. The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion, who lost the title to Jey Uso as part of WrestleMania 41, appeared to take exception with the commentators critiques of one of his rare losses. After Cole made a comment to Gunther about 'tapping out' to Uso, he Austrian grappler lost it, putting Cole in a chokehold. McAfee, who has been more physical with WWE wrestlers in the past compared to Cole, jumped in to save his fellow commentator. McAfee attempted to walk away before Gunther put a rear-naked choke on him, eventually making him pass out. Gunther is expected to now be storyline suspended for several weeks for putting his hands on a non-wrestler. McAfee himself may have been written off television by being choked out, as he returned to the company for the most prestigious time of the year for the company, which ended with WrestleMania 41. Should McAfee take a break from WWE, Tessitore is the natural replacement as part of the RAW commentary team.

LAS VEGAS – Becky Lynch explained to reporters on Sunday why she decided to team with Lyra Valkyria and shed some light on what her schedule will be like after she made her epic return at WrestleMania 41. Valkyria needed a partner for her Women's World Tag Team Championship match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez. Bayley was "taken out" before the WrestleMania match occurred. As fans in Las Vegas waited, Lynch's music hit and Allegiant Stadium exploded. "It's WrestleMania, and Lyra needed a partner," Lynch said in the post-WrestleMania 41 press conference. "Bayley unfortunately got taken out yesterday. We all saw that and so there wasn't much time to prepare. But if she's going to call and ask for something, I'm so proud of her, man, of course I'll be there, in a heartbeat." Lynch made clear she wasn't going to be a part-timer. "'The man' don't do part time. Come on, now!" she said. "When I go, I go hard. I'm going to go hard until I can't go no more … or until I take a little break." The last time Lynch appeared in a WWE ring in a steel-cage match against Morgan on May 27, 2024. She took some time off to be with her family and made the return to team with her fellow countrywoman Valkyria. Valkyria became a double champion with the victory. Logan Paul says he's 'available' amid questions about WWE future
LAS VEGAS – Logan Paul made clear he wants to be a WWE superstar and is "available" to compete against anyone WWE Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque matches him with. Paul defeated A.J. Styles in a match on Sunday night at WrestleMania 41. Paul moved to 3-1 in WrestleMania matches with victories in a tag-team match with The Miz and in a triple-threat match against Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. Amid questions about how active Paul is on the WWE roster, he made sure that he's ready to go at a moment's notice. "I'm available. I'm available. I'm here. I signed up to be a WWE superstar," Paul told reporters in the post-WrestleMania 41 press conference. "When Triple H (Levesque) calls me, I answer the call. And whoever he wants to put against me goes from a professional wrestler to a victim. "It's been that way for the past year, and I'm in my fourth year of wrestling in WWE, as an outsider by the way. And I'm 3-1 — and the person I lost to was Seth Rollins, who is one of the best in the business. I put on five-star matches every single time, and whoever they want to put me against, I'll rise to the challenge. Not only rise to the challenge, but I'll become the challenge." Paul's schedule is stacked outside of the ring. He's one of the biggest social media stars, and if he's not in the boxing ring or on reality TV, he's in his brother Jake's corner as he continues his own boxing career. It's unclear where Paul's story goes from there. Last year, Paul appeared at the WWE King and Queen of the Ring and SummerSlam premium live events. He also lost to LA Knight in a triple-threat match with Santos Escobar on a June episode of "Friday Night SmackDown."
