Former cyclist given suspended sentence over wife's death
Former professional cyclist Rohan Dennis has been given a suspended sentence for the crash which caused the death of his elite athlete wife, Melissa Hoskins. Ms Hoskins – a former professional cyclist and Olympian – died when she was struck by a car being driven by Dennis outside their home in December 2023. Dennis pleaded guilty to an aggravated charge of creating a likelihood of harm. Prosecutors dropped a charge of causing death by dangerous driving in lieu of his plea.

Rohan Dennis given suspended sentence over death of wife
Former professional cyclist Rohan Dennis has been handed a two-year suspended sentence over the incident that resulted in the death of his Olympian wife Melissa Hoskins, outside their Adelaide home in 2023.
