Melissa McCarthy shares rare photo of look-alike daughter to mark important milestone

shared a rare photo of her teenage daughter Vivian Falcone on Friday. Kicking off the weekend, the actress, 54, took to her Instagram Story to share a photo of her 18-year-old daughter dressed to the nines to celebrate her prom. In the rare snapshot, Vivian modeled an ethereal corseted gown and ruffled skirt with a blue and white lace and floral details. 'Thank you to @sherrihill @realkarahall @dandridesigns for making Viv's prom dreams come true,' McCarthy gushed in her caption. In the photo, Vivian looked like a princess as she posed in the stunning designer gown, accessorizing with a gold pendant necklace and her soft, auburn waves. The Bridesmaids star shares her teenage daughter Vivian with husband Ben Falcone. In addition to their eldest, the longtime couple are also parents to daughter Georgette, 15. The sweet prom moment comes shortly after McCarthy helped her daughter celebrate her 18th birthday on May 5. Earlier this month, the two-time Oscar nominee shared a throwback photo of her eldest daughter when she was a young toddler. In the adorable snapshot, a young Vivian was wearing a colorful tunic and an adult's paper boy cap as she sang and danced on a couch. In a gushing caption, McCarthy wished her daughter a happy birthday — after celebrating her 19th wedding anniversary to Vivian's dad. 'Eighteen years ago, this wonderful creature came into my life and taught me what true kindness and empathy and the importance of being really weird means,' she penned. 'I'm so lucky to be your mama. You make the world better!!! Xoxooxoooxoxo.' In addition to their eldest, the longtime couple are also parents to daughter Georgette, 15; pictured May 2023 in Hollywood McCarthy prefers to keep her family life relatively private, but their daughter Georgette did make a rare appearance with her parents in May 2023. McCarthy was joined by her family at the premiere of the live-action remake of The Little Mermaid, in which she played the villain Ursula. And though her kids make rare appearances, McCarthy does occasionally share rare stories about raising her two daughters. In 2019, she gushed about her then-preteen kids, calling them 'really smart and funny, weird,' in an interview with Us Weekly. 'I think they're better [than me]. They're further along in their young lives than I was,' she said at the time. 'I feel like I had to push almost 30 to get their kind of confidence, so I love seeing that.' McCarthy also said that motherhood came with 'more joys than challenges' for her. 'The challenges are just, "Am I doing enough?" and being surprised and amazed by my girls.'

Mom Moves Daughter's Prom Photos to Walmart Garden Center After Unexpected Downpour (Exclusive)

With rain forecasted for her daughter's prom, professional photographer Lindsey Berger had to think fast They ended up having a photoshoot in the garden section at Walmart Berger is proud of how the photos came out and that she got to show her daughter what she does for work every dayLindsey Berger is used to thinking on her toes as a professional photographer. This time, she had to do it for her most personal client: her daughter, Shae, on prom day. In the days leading up to the dance, Berger, 41, tried to convince Shae that it wouldn't rain despite the daunting weather forecast. However, the universe had other plans. After getting dressed up, Berger's 18-year-old daughter and her date, Hunter, wanted to take pictures to commemorate the big day. They were heading to the local courthouse when Berger had an idea. "As we were driving, I thought, 'What is more Ohio hillbilly than going to Walmart in our prom dress?' We embrace the country here," she exclusively tells PEOPLE. "So I thought, 'Let's go in and see what kind of masterpieces we can do.' " "At first, we were going to be funny about it, but when I got in there, I thought, 'This might actually work,'" she adds. "It's fun to show that you can take almost any place you go and make memories, and that's what matters." Given her profession, Berger had all the equipment ready to go. However, she also didn't want to disturb the displays in the store, the employees, or the customers. Regardless, the employees permitted them to move anything they needed to get the right shot. Berger says all the workers were very kind and no one judged them. Berger ended up posting a TikTok about the situation, which included a photo of a Walmart employee alongside Shae and Hunter. Berger says the employee graciously helped them through the process, telling her he "didn't mind" the shenanigans because it was "a slow day for them." The photographer was glad they were able to make the most out of the situation, and equally thrilled that she got to show her daughter what she does for a living. "She's artistic, but she's unsure how I get the pictures," Berger says. "The first one I showed her, they were bending and ducking behind clamps, and she was not seeing it until I turned the camera, and I showed her." "She said, 'These are so fun. They're actually really good mom!' She was surprised at how cute they were," she adds. The video Berger posted went viral, amassing over 4.6 million views. While most comments were positive, a few insisted that "there must have been a better place to take pictures than Walmart." But for Berger, that's one of the reasons the pictures are so special. "Have some fun in life, be creative, do something different," she shares. "Of course, we knew we could go underneath something, stay dry, and get typical pictures," she continues. "But, we wanted to do something silly and fun. We just wanted to have fun, and I'm glad we did and created a great memory. It was such a fun conversational piece." Limo company accused of scamming Eaton Fire victims on prom night

A special night meant to bring joy to students recovering from the Eaton Fire turned into a troubling case of betrayal after the limo service paid to take them to prom never showed up. "I tried to be forgiving and not have a vengeful spirit, but that doesn't mean you're not held accountable for what you do," mom Angie DiClaudio said. "Aside from being just like, a huge letdown ... This wasn't even our money. This was a nonprofit trying to help kids who lost their homes in a fire." The Virginia-based nonprofit Alice's Kids , with the help of actor Steve Carell, donated roughly $175,000 to treat 800 Altadena and Pasadena students to the full prom experience, including free tickets and limousine rides. It paid Shawn Lasley, the owner of Wize Guy Entertainment, $4,000 to take more than 20 students to their prom. However, parents scrambled to find a ride for their children when the night came. "Very nervous, horrified and disappointed," Alice's Kids spokesperson Hilary Riedemann said. "For him to not say anything and then to not show up, after not only we reached out to him but multiple parents did, to not show up was pretty atrocious." Parents like Carrie Meyers said Lasley blocked them when they tried to reach him. "The plan is we got to make this guy suffer," Meyers said. "He failed us. He ripped us off. Word has to get out." Luckily, parents called Ubers to make sure their teens still made it to prom. Despite the disappointment, everyone had a night to remember. "It's just like we build all this stuff up in our head," DiClaudio said. "We want it to be the perfect night. Oftentimes it isn't. It's OK. Sometimes the ones you don't expect to be are the best ones ever. CBS News Los Angeles reached out to Wize Guy Entertainment for comment but did not receive a response. Alice's Kids said they are in the process of taking legal action against the limo company.

Pretty in Pink star Andrew McCarthy shares rare photo of daughter Willow on her prom night with nostalgic nod to 80s classic

Pretty in Pink alum Andrew McCarthy shared a rare snap of his 18-year-old daughter Willow wearing her blue prom dress in Dublin, Ireland on Tuesday. 'My daughter Willow went to her prom tonight,' the 62-year-old Brat Packer announced to his 539K Facebook followers. 'She did not wear pink.' The Nord Anglia International School Dublin grad has already been accepted into NYU's class of 2029 - the same college her famous father was expelled from. Willow is every bit the nepo baby having acted in three Broadway plays by the age of 13, and her last professional credit was playing Lisa Spencer in Michael Morrissey's 2021 horror film The Girl Who Got Away. She did not wear pink' Andrew and his second wife of 13 years - Irish theatre director Dolores Rice - are also proud parents of 11-year-old son Rowan. McCarthy fathered 23-year-old son Sam - last seen acting in Disney+ reboot Goosebumps: The Vanishing - during his six-year marriage to NYU sweetheart Carol Schneider, which ended in 2005. And in 2021, the nepo baby impressively scored a SAG Award nomination for being apart of the talented ensemble behind Netflix's Dead to Me. The eighties heartthrob's caption was referring to Howard Deutch's 1986 romantic dramedy Pretty in Pink, in which his rich character Blane attempts to woo back poor girlfriend Andie (Molly Ringwald) at the prom. On June 7, Andrew reunited with his Pretty in Pink castmate Jon Cryer as well as fellow Brat Packers Ally Sheedy and Demi Moore at the Tribeca premiere of his Hulu documentary Brats in Lower Manhattan. Between 2015–2023, McCarthy directed 26 episodes of NBC's The Blacklist, which starred his Pretty in Pink bestie James Spader. Last July, Rob Lowe revealed he's been developing a sequel for Joel Schumacher's 1985 film St. Elmo's Fire with Columbia Pictures, so the New Jersey-born travel writer might get to reprise his character Kevin Dolenz. 'The studio and I have been talking about doing it for about four months,' the 61-year-old Emmy nominee told ET. '[Andrew's doc] Brats has only added to the excitement around it. But it's very, very, very, very, very early stages, so we will see.' McCarthy fathered 23-year-old son Sam - last seen acting in Disney+ reboot Goosebumps: The Vanishing (pictured) - during his six-year marriage to NYU sweetheart Carol Schneider, which ended in 2005 Mare Winningham, Judd Nelson, Ally Sheedy, Demi Moore, and Emilio Estevez also starred in the dismally-reviewed drama about seven Georgetown University graduates, which earned $37.8M from a $10M budget at the box office. The song St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion) hit No. 1 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart for two weeks in 1985, and Love Theme from St. Elmo's Fire (the instrumental theme) reached No. 15. Andrew will soon make his acting comeback in Jonathan Baker's upcoming romance Fate alongside Harvey Keitel, Faye Dunaway, and Mena Suvari. McCarthy has an acting role in Jaco Bouwer's sci-fi flick Orion, which began post production on February 26. Andrew is also known for his memorable roles in Mannequin (1987), Less Than Zero (1987), and Weekend at Bernie's (1989).
