Surrey police are investigating after reports of shots fired at a business in a Newton strip mall over the weekend.
The incident happened either Friday night or early Saturday morning in the area of 128 Street and 80 Avenue, according to the Surrey Police Service.
There were no reported injuries.
Police told CTV News it is too early in the investigation to know whether the fired shots are connected to incidents of extortion at South Asian businesses in the city.
