Ferrari Branches Out Into Sailing With Engine-Free Racing Yacht
Ferrari NV unveiled a prototype racing yacht that will hit the ocean next year as the supercar maker branches out into sailing.
The Italian manufacturer's 100-foot monohull vessel will serve as a research platform for technologies that could be applied to future road cars and motor-sport projects, Ferrari said Wednesday. All the on-board systems are to be powered by renewable energy generated by sail, with no combustion engine.
