Competition watchdog confirms it is investigating REA Group

The competition regulator has confirmed it is in the early stages of an investigation into REA Group, the $33 billion owner of issuing a rare statement to say it is concerned about competition in the real estate sector. The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission on Thursday said it did not normally comment on ongoing investigations because they are confidential. In this case, it made an exception.
