Signal issues stop Wellington trains leaving and arriving
Signal issues have stopped trains from arriving or leaving in Wellington during peak travel time on Wednesday evening.
Metlink said no services could arrive to or depart from Wellington Station due to major signal and track issues.
An RNZ reporter at the station said a PA announcement had been made advising passengers that it was a power outage that was causing the signal issues.
Metlink is advising people to seek alternative transport options if possible.
It said there were limited buses on the way, which would depart when full.
