Missing adult found safe after silver alert: Winnipeg police

A silver alert was issued for the 32-year-old adult who was reported missing earlier in the afternoon. Silver alerts are issued when a vulnerable adult is reported missing. Just after 6 p.m., police said the adult was found safe. CTV News Winnipeg has removed the adult's name and photo.

Silver alert issued over missing adult: police
The Winnipeg Police Service is asking for the public's help in finding Alexa Smith. (WPS) The Winnipeg Police Service (WPS) is requesting the public's assistance in finding a missing adult as part of a silver alert. Alexa Smith, 32, was last seen near Harbison Avenue West and Watt Street at approximately 10 a.m. on Sunday, according to police. Smith is described by officers as white, 4'11', heavier build, with blue eyes and short blonde hair. Smith was last seen wearing a red t-shirt, light runners and beige sweatpants. The WPS said they are concerned for Smith's well-being and are asking anyone with information regarding their whereabouts to contact the WPS Missing Persons Unit at 204-986-6520. A silver alert is issued when a vulnerable adult is reported missing.

Winnipeg police looking for missing 63-year-old man
Social Sharing Winnipeg police are asking for help finding a 63-year-old man who went missing last week. Peter Stanley was last seen in the area of Portage Avenue and Moray Street around 1 p.m. Thursday. Police said Tuesday they're concerned about his well-being. A silver alert, which is activated when a vulnerable adult person is reported missing, has been triggered. Stanley is described as being six feet, two inches tall, of medium build, with closely cropped grey hair and green eyes.

UPDATED: Silver alert ends after woman is found
May 17—GRAND FORKS — The North Dakota Highway Patrol and state Bureau of Criminal Investigation canceled a silver alert after the missing woman was found Saturday evening. The alert was issued Saturday, May 17, at the request of the Pembina County Sheriff's Office, according to a release sent to the media. The alert was for Jean Morrison, 79, of Walhalla, North Dakota.

Statewide alert: Police look for missing 81-year-old Overland Park woman
A statewide silver alert has been issued for an Overland Park woman who went missing this week. Jerry McConnell, 81, was last seen Wednesday afternoon in Harrisonvile and was reportedly driving to her residence in Overland Park. McConnell was driving a gray 2009 Honda Accord with Texas license plate number RFP836, the Overland Park Police Department said in a news release. McConnell is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs around 140 pounds. She has blue eyes and gray hair. McConnell may have been seen near Severy, Kansas, about 2 1/2 hours south of Overland Park, on Thursday afternoon, according to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.
