Grove Park traders asked to join Nick Knowles in episode of BBC's DIY SOS

Traders and volunteers from in and around Grove Park are being asked to get involved in an episode of BBC's DIY SOS – which will include a major home renovation with the aim of 'transform the lives' of a local family. The team, led by presenter Nick Knowles, will be in Grove Park (SE12) from April 2 to April 10, 2025, aiming to transform a local family's home into a functional and comfortable space. Organisers are appealing to tradespeople, suppliers, and volunteers willing to donate their time, skills, or materials. Participants will receive on-site experience, full catering, and the opportunity to work alongside the DIY SOS team. A briefing session for interested professionals will take place on March 18, 2025, ahead of the build. The big moment will come on April 10, 2025, when the team unveils the finished home to the family. A post from the show's official Facebook page states: 'We need support from tradespeople, volunteers, and suppliers by donating skills and materials. 'Your generosity will help transform the lives of a local family by completely renovating their current space into a usable and fit-for-purpose home. 'We offer a unique on-site experience, full catering, and the joy of volunteering with your community. 'Come and join Nick and the team on-site for as many days as you can possibly help with.' Anyone interested in getting involved is encouraged to email DIYSOSGrovePark@ as soon as possible with their trade, availability, and contact details.
