EXCLUSIVE Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness finalize divorce one MONTH after filing

Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness have finalized their divorce less than a month after filing, Daily Mail can exclusively reveal. A judgment of divorce was filed on June 12, making it official. The document, however, wasn't made public until June 23. Prior to the judgment being entered, two other documents were filed on June 10 - a 'Qualified Medical Child Support Order', regarding children's insurance, and 'Findings of Fact/Conclusions of Law.' The divorce was essentially disposed of, but the judge needed to sign off on the judgment after a proposed judgment was entered. Daily Mail has reached out to Hugh and Deborra-Lee's reps for comment. Deborra-Lee, who has two adopted children with the Wolverine actor, has received a 'handsome spousal support payment,' according to an insider, who previously spoke to Daily Mail. 'A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with which includes a handsome spousal support payment,' they revealed. 'There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure. 'There is not going to be any drama with this gives closure that she needed.' Last month, Daily Mail exclusively broke the news of Hugh, 56, and Deborra-Lee, 69, filing for divorce to officially terminate their 27-year marriage. The film producer filed the complaint in New York on May 23 and, per the filings, everything has been ironed out behind the scenes. Other filings submitted by her lawyer include a notice concerning continuation of health care coverage, a proposed qualified medical child support order, a New York state case registry form (used to report child support orders to the state's registry), the settlement, a proposed judgment of divorce, and certificate of dissolution. All that needed to be done was for the judge to sign off on the judgment, essentially. The divorce is 'non contested,' meaning there was not a major disagreement between the couple divorcing. 'They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement, alimony and the expenses for the future of their children,' another source told Daily Mail. 'They are amicable and they are both fully committed to being the best parents that they can be.' They added that Jackman is 'looking forward to the future and not looking back.' Shortly after news broke of the exes' divorce filing, Furness shocked fans by releasing a statement using the word 'betrayal' when speaking about her 'traumatic journey.' In a statement sent to Daily Mail, Deborra-Lee said, 'My heart and compassion goes out to everyone who has traversed the traumatic journey of betrayal. It's a profound wound that cuts deep, however I believe in a higher power and that God/the universe, whatever you relate to as your guidance, is always working FOR us.' She continued, 'This belief has helped me navigate the breakdown of an almost three-decade marriage. I have gained much knowledge and wisdom through this experience. Even when we are presented with apparent adversity, it is leading us to our greatest good, our true purpose. 'It can hurt, but in the long run, returning to yourself and living within your own integrity, values and boundaries is liberation and freedom.' She concluded her statement with the 'one thing' that she has learned, which is 'that none of this is personal,' adding, 'We are all on our individual journeys and I believe that the relationships in our lives are not random. 'We are drawn to people, we invite them in, in order to learn our lessons and to recognize and heal the broken parts of ourselves...I remain grateful.' It was later revealed that Furness and Jackman are splitting their ritzy $24M penthouse in New York City. While details of how they divvy up their combined $387 million fortune, the exes have at least decided to split their $24 million Manhattan property down the middle. On June 2, Jackman and Furness filed records with the city regarding their shares of their former love nest, as seen in documents obtained by Daily Mail. The three-bedroom and 3.5-bathroom penthouse, which the couple purchased together back in 2022 for $21.12 million, had not been listed for sale but underwent a property transfer. The Aussie heartthrob was recently spotted arriving at the Minetta Lane Theatre in a casual but eye-catching ensemble, to rehearse for his off-Broadway play, 'Sexual Misconduct of the Middle Classes.' Hugh looked every bit the fitness enthusiast in the snug navy polo that accentuated his well-defined physique, along with black athletic shorts and matching sneakers. He carried a bicycle helmet tucked under one arm and flashed a beaming smile as he greeted a fan waiting outside, pausing to chat warmly before heading inside for another day of rehearsals. The limited engagement run ended on June 18. Jackman, however, still has upcoming dates throughout the summer at Radio City Music Hall for his solo show. In a turn of events following Deborra-Lee's divorce filing, the actor suffered a humiliating blow with ticket sales to 'Hugh Jackman: From New York, With Love,' dropping to $20 with fans hoping to sell their previously purchased tickets.

Major update in Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness' divorce

Deborra-Lee Furness has filed for divorce from Hugh Jackman nearly two years after they announced their split. The Australian actress reportedly submitted the paperwork in New York on May 23 after the pair reached an agreement behind the scenes. 'A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with, which includes a handsome spousal support payment,' a source told the Daily Mail. 'There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, [Deborra] got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure.' The insider added that Furness, 69, got the 'closure she needed.' The next step is for a judge to sign off. A separate source confirmed the divorce is uncontested, meaning both parties are agreeing to the terms. 'They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement, alimony and the expenses for the future of their children,' the insider said. 'They are amicable and they are both fully committed to being the best parents that they can be.' Reps for Furness and Jackman did not immediately respond to Page Six's requests for comment. The news comes months after the exes — who share two adopted kids: son Oscar, 25, and daughter Ava, 19 — were reportedly struggling to see eye-to-eye on how to divide their $US250 million fortune. In March, an insider told the Daily Mail that Furness, 69, was holding up their divorce as she felt 'entitled to more money than' Jackman, 56, was offering at the time. The two announced their separation in September 2023 after 27 years of marriage. 'We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage,' the former couple said in a joint statement at the time. 'Our journey now is shifting, and we have decided to separate to pursue our individual growth.' At the time of the announcement, a source told Page Six the split had been a long time coming and that those close to the couple were already aware of the break-up. Around the same time, rumours began circulating that Jackman had engaged in an extramarital affair with his Music Man co-star Sutton Foster. Sources told us that they formed a connection while starring together in the Broadway show — which ran from December 2021 to January 2023. 'They are 100 percent together and are in love and want to spend the rest of their lives together,' one insider said. Foster, 50, meanwhile, filed to divorce her second husband, Ted Griffin, in October 2024 after a decade of marriage, Page Six exclusively revealed. In March, Furness was said to be 'rebuilding her life and taking a vacation to Bhutan' for a fresh start after Jackman's alleged betrayal. A source told Us Weekly, 'She's relied on a strong support system of female friends. She also spends time with other women who've been through similar situations who offer her unwavering support.'

EXCLUSIVE Deborra-Lee Furness FINALLY files for divorce from Hugh Jackman after struggling to split $250 million fortune

Deborra-Lee Furness has officially filed for divorce from her ex Hugh Jackman, nearly two years after they announced their shock split. can exclusively reveal that Furness filed the complaint in New York on May 23 and that per the filings, everything has been ironed out behind the scenes. Other filings submitted by Furness' lawyer, Elena Karabatos, in the divorce matter include a notice concerning continuation of health care coverage, a proposed qualified medical child support order, the settlement, a proposed judgment of divorce, and certificate of dissolution. All that needs to be done now is for the judge to sign off on the judgement. Furness, who has two adopted children with the Wolverine actor, has received a 'handsome spousal support payment,' according to an insider who said there will be no 'drama' as they terminate their 27 year marriage. 'A settlement was reached that Deborra is pleased with which includes a handsome spousal support payment,' a source exclusively told 'There was some back and forth regarding this financial agreement but, in the end, she got what she believed she deserved. Both are coming out of this financially secure. 'There is not going to be any drama with this gives closure that she needed.' A source close to Jackman said the divorce is 'non contested', meaning there was not a major disagreement between the couple divorcing. 'They have worked out the details in advance and everything is ironed out in terms of a settlement, alimony and the expenses for the future of their children,' they said. 'They are amicable and they are both fully committed to being the best parents that they can be.' They added that Jackman, who is dating Sutton Foster, is 'looking forward to the future and not looking back.' Back in January, exclusively reported that the estranged spouses had yet to file as their decision to dismiss a prenup was proving to be a point of contention. Insiders at the time claimed that their split could get 'messy' as they were struggling to divvy up their estimated $250 million fortune. 'One of the biggest reasons why they haven't yet filed is that they never had a prenup,' an insider close to Jackman said. 'When they got married, they thought it would be forever. Who doesn't? At the time, neither of them expected Hugh's career to get as enormous as it has. 'Because there was no prenup, and he made a fortune during their marriage, this divorce is not going to be cut and dry. It may even get messy because the stakes are high. A lot of moving parts need to be worked out and there is a huge amount of money involved.' The insider insisted they both wanted to 'make this as easy as possible,' but that after three decades and one partner becoming a massive A-list star, 'it's not quite that easy.' In March, the divorce was brewing but they struggled to reach an agreement on how to divide their assets, a source revealed to 'Hugh and Deborra-Lee have not yet filed for divorce because they are struggling to reach an agreement on how to divide their assets,' a source said. 'Deborra-Lee feels entitled to more money than Hugh is willing to offer.' Her insistence on getting a bigger chunk of their estimated fortune was said to be fueled by the murky origins of his romance with Broadway star Foster. 'While he didn't physically cheat on her with Sutton, Deborra-Lee believes they were having an emotional affair and she feels he betrayed her,' the source continued. Their marriage started to fall apart during Covid, as previously reported by around the same time that Jackman struck up a friendship with Foster, his costar on the 2022 Broadway revival of The Music Man. She was married to Ted Griffin at the time. Furness and Jackman announced the end of their marriage in a shock statement in September 2023, telling fans that they were 'shifting' and as a result had decided to 'separate to pursue our individual growth'. Soon followed rumblings that Jackman had struck up a relationship with Foster, with the pair finally confirming their romance in January in what fans claimed was a staged picture opportunity as they left a Los Angeles restaurant hand-in-hand. Furness and Jackman met back in 1995 on Australian TV show Correlli, when she was a major star, and he was enjoying his first role fresh out of drama school. He proposed four months later, telling Today in 2018 that he knew two weeks into meeting Furness that they were 'going to be together for the rest of our lives.' They were married in Melbourne, Australia, in April 1996 before adopting their son Oscar, now 24, in 2000. Five years later they completed their family unit when they adopted daughter Ava, 19. Since tying the knot, Jackman has amassed an eye watering fortune, estimated to be around $200 million, thanks to his turn as Wolverine in Marvel's blockbuster comic book franchise. He retired the role in Logan in 2017 before reprising the character - and hijacking the box office - last year with Deadpool and Wolverine alongside his close friend Ryan Reynolds.
