(OPP/X) Ontario Provincial Police are seeking public assistance in identifying the rider of a motorcycle who was seen using stolen and improper plates on Highway 417 in Ottawa. Police say officers attempted to stop the rider before 1 p.m. Tuesday near Eagleson Road after noticing they were using an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) plate that had been modified instead of a legal motorcycle plate. An investigation also found the plate had been stolen and belonged to a person that had died. A photo posted to social media by OPP shows two individuals on the motorcycle but the plate number was not provided. OPP is searching for anyone who might have dashcam footage or who may know the people involved. Anyone with information is asked to contact OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
