Fans waiting for the new season of Love Island USA on Peacock had to wait much longer than they initially thought, with a delay in the premiere of at least a half hour. The Season 7 premiere of the hit real-time dating show was supposed to debut on the Peacock streaming service at 9 PM ET/6 PM PT, but that didn't happen. Fan didn't take long to head to social media to voice their frustrations, with some reporting the episode was up nearly 30 minutes after the scheduled delay, while others waited upwards of 45 minutes. The official Peacock Twitter quickly warned fans of the delay at 9:01 PM EST, stating, 'WE GOT A TEXT! Tonight's episode will be slightly delayed. But it is worth the wait Stay tuned! #LoveIslandUSA. That didn't stop fans from lashing out online, bashing the program and the streaming service for the lengthy delay of their beloved dating show. Host Ariana Madix even took to her Instagram story, hinting that the show's fans crashed the Peacock servers. The official Peacock Twitter quickly warned fans of the delay at 9:01 PM EST, stating, 'WE GOT A TEXT! Tonight's episode will be slightly delayed. But it is worth the wait Stay tuned! #LoveIslandUSA. 'Not you guys crashing the app! Haha love it! Gotta get the IT cuties on the job,' she said in the caption of an Instagram story post. While Madix took the delay in stride, other fans weren't as patient, like Jade (@JayduhFN), who said, 'So now yall made some money and acting Hollywood…. Got it.' Brandii Baby (@babybrandiii) added, 'Get it together I just pay my subscription.' @715MoonGoddess added, 'I was SAT at 8:59pm and now it's DELAYED?!?!!

The streaming service won't renew at the discounted $25 rate again, so be sure to cancel before the year is up if you don't want to pay the typical $80 price for 12 more months. The Peacock Premium plan is ad-supported and gives you access to the entire Peacock library, but the plan doesn't include downloads or your live local NBC station. For live NBC feeds and reduced ads, you'll need to opt for Premium Plus. If you don't want to commit to a year of Peacock, even for $25, Premium costs $8 per month and Premium Plus costs $14.
