Thieves smash shopfront with car and steal ATM
An ATM machine has been stolen after a car smashed into the front of a supermarket, police have said. Dorset Police said it received reports of a dark-coloured VW Touareg being driven into a Co-op on Fairmile Road in Christchurch at around 02:40 BST. A number of people wearing face coverings got out and used tools to load the cash machine into another vehicle, the force said. A blue Audi RS3 was reported to have "made off" shortly after the incident, it said later, adding that a dark-coloured VW Touareg was located at the scene and seized by officers.
