Drivers are only just realising that popular car has 'secret compartment'
Owners of several Fiat models were unaware of the major storage feature in their vehicle.
Drivers with Fiat cars have been left shocked by a viral social media clip that revealed a 'secret compartment' in their vehicles. A motorists shared the revelation after she discovered an extra storage space under her seat.
Taking to TikTok to share her surprise, user @kadymcgeachy showed a video of herself pulling up a section of front passenger seat only to uncover a section of space underneath. The area is perfect to store essential items whilst keeping them out of sight.
Despite having her car for over a year already, Kady admitted she had only just discovered the compartment. She said: 'Had your Fiat for over a year and only now finding out about this secret compartment.'
Kady's video which was posted last May went viral TikTok and was watched by over 60,000 viewers.
@chants2011 posted: 'THREE fiat 500s I have owned and never knew.'
@georgiamell0n added: 'Rookie numbers. Owned mine for seven years before I found out.'
Another added: 'I've had mine for eight years I'm gonna go check lol.'
The Fiat 500 Owners Club UK have previously revealed how drivers can open up the seat and access the space, reports the Express.

In a video posted back in 2020, the experts said: 'If you've got the newer 2016 onwards facelift car you won't have the under-seat storage.
'To access this one, you lift the front edge of the seat base first. That unlatches these hooks at the back which then allows you to tumble the seat base forward to unveil another hidden storage area.
"This is probably the larger of the interior storage areas on the 500.'
Other TikTok users revealed they had used the tool before with one even believing they had lost a valuable item after misplacing it inside the container.
@wigswithgrace admitted: 'Put my purse in here to keep it safe once - forgot instantly, thought I'd lost it.
'When I eventually sold the car the new owner asked if it had that feature and it all came flooding back. Purse found!'
@tay11yat commented: 'I found £20 from the last owner in my compartment lol.'
However, it appears the unique feature is not included in every Fiat with some stressing their car does not have any secret spaces built in.
@charlottehepple0 explained: 'I don't have one. Nearly broke my seat trying to find it.'
Earlier this month we reported how motorists had only recently discovered the true functions of various buttons in their cars, as vehicle technology advancements mean many drivers don't know what new tech their vehicles have.
Modern cars boast an array of buttons and dials, a significant leap from the days of manual windows. They now feature capabilities to control music and handle calls directly from the steering wheel, with new tech additions introduced annually.
