This actor was skyrocketed into the spotlight after joined the cast of a beloved high school drama during its second season.
Originally appearing as a recurring character in the WB show, he was so popular he was promoted to a regular in season three.
He continued to act in the series - alongside a slew of big names like James Van Der Beek, Katie Holmes, Joshua Jackson, and Michelle Williams - until it came to an end in 2003.
And he made history during his time in the show as he became the first man to have an on-screen gay kiss on American television.
His success in the series transformed him into a massive star and he went on to launch a booming career in the years that followed, starring in a bunch of big movies and TV shows.
But now, decades after he first captured hearts all around the globe he looks completely different.

It's the one and only Kerr Smith, who famously played Jack McPhee in Dawson's Creek!
Kerr, now 53, started his career off by starring in the soap opera As the World Turns in 1996.
But it was his role in Dawson's Creek that really put him on the map.
In addition to Dawson's Creek, he also starred in the rom-com The Broken Hearts Club, the horror flicks Final Destination, The Forsaken, Pressure, and My Bloody Valentine 3D, the legal drama Justice, and CSI: NY during the early 2000s.
He also famously portrayed Kyle Brody in the show Charmed for 10 episodes.
Most recently, Kerr has starred in the series Life Unexpected, ABC Family's The Fosters, Final Destination 5, 2014 drama Where Hope Grows, and the CW show Riverdale.
His career seemed to slow in 2019, however, as he hasn't acted in anything since then.
He was married to actress Harmoni Everett, but they divorced in 2009 after six years together.
