BMRCL recorded its highest-ever single-day passenger count on June 4 with 9,66,732 commuters boarding metro trains across the city. The spike in ridership was primarily driven by theat the stadium and the concurrent public gathering at Vidhana data reflects a near threefold jump in usage across key metro corridors. Purple Line (Line 1) saw 4,78,334 passengers, while Green Line (Line 2) recorded 2,84,674. The interchange hub at Kempegowda (KGWA) witnessed an impressive footfall of 2,03,724, indicating its role as the central transit point for the day. Stations located in the Central Business District (CBD) — including Cubbon Park, Vidhana Soudha, MG Road, and Sir M. Visvesvaraya — were among the busiest, reflecting the Metro's growing reliance for access to high-footfall zones during major city events.
