2 men arrested after crash in Escambia County leads to SUV in retention pond: FHP
ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. (WKRG) — Florida Highway Patrol officials arrested two men after a crash Thursday left an SUV in a retention pond.

According to an FHP crash report, state troopers were called to the 3400 block of Two Sisters Way around 11:15 a.m. for an SUV that had hit a fence.
Officials found that the 24-year-old man driving the SUV was heading north on Embers Landing when he lost control, went across the southbound lanes and hit the fence.
The SUV then stopped once it hit the pond, according to the crash report.
Officials said the driver left the scene but two witnesses identified him, leading troopers to arrest him for being a habitual traffic offender at the time of the crash and leaving the scene of an accident.

Another man, a 66-year-old, was also arrested. He was charged with knowingly giving false information to a law enforcement officer concerning the alleged commission of a crime.
