Will West Ham board pick Potter's transfers? Transfer window Q&A
BBC Sport chief football reporter Simon Stone has been answering your questions on the summer transfer window.A tired West Ham fan asked: What is your view on the current transfer set up at West Ham? Is Potter in charge or is it the same mess where the board impose their players onto the manager and then fail to get anyone the manager actually wants? P.s. I'm aware we had Steidten in place before but that still didn't seem to stop the above scenario from happening!Simon answered: Nice easy one to start with... Firstly, Graham Potter has brought Kyle Macaulay in as his head of recruitment. The pair have worked with each other for over a decade, so it seems like a perfectly sensible appointment.I do understand the criticism of the ownership being involved in recruitment but David Sullivan does run the club, so he is entitled to have an input. There has been a couple of occasions when he tried to step back, when Manuel Pellegrini came in, and had Mario Husillos working with him, and then with Tim Steidten. Neither problem with Steidten was that his philosophy differed hugely from that of David Moyes, so the partnership was ineffective. Then, when Moyes left, Steidten made a succession of poor decisions, starting with Julen Lopetegui as Moyes' I think West Ham are in a better position now than they have been for a long time. The problem at the moment is the money from selling Declan Rice has gone so a decision has to be made around the future of Mohammed the Q&A and the rest of the day's football news here

The number nine dilemma
Liverpool fan and writer Adam Beattie spoke to BBC Radio Merseyside about the need to sign another centre-forward this summer: "Darwin Nunez's time has run its course. It has been an experiment, and generally we get it right with the big-money signings, but it's bound to [go wrong] eventually. "People may be surprised at the fee Nunez may end up commanding because there is not really top-drawer number nines out there. Advertisement "It is an area we have needed to freshen for a while. I could make a case to let [Diogo] Jota go but I don't think you can let him and Nunez go. You would be leaving yourself too much to do. "Even if [Florian] Wirtz comes in, there is an argument to get a number nine - but there are not many that leap out at you." Listen to the discussion on the summer transfer window on BBC Sounds

Transfer Q&A: Should Fulham give academy players a chance?
BBC Sport's football news reporter Alex Howell has been answering your questions on the transfer Fulham need to clear out at least five or six senior players and not only bring in some young talent, but also give some of the youngsters proper game time. We have a great academy but we only give them one or two a chance. Josh King has been in and around the first-team squad all season but he has had minimal game time. On Saturday, when we needed something a bit different, Marco Silva brought on Willian and Tom Cairney when he had Martial Godo and King on the bench. It has become very predictable, so how will a mid-table team like Fulham attract the young players they need to progress?Alex: It's exceptionally hard for young players to break into a first team at Premier League has built a very experienced squad, but I am always impressed about what he gets out of the players he has available to him.I think if you look at other teams who are able to attract young players, the best thing to show them, unfortunately for Fulham, is that there is a pathway to move to a top team, whether that is in Europe or the Premier you look at Crystal Palace, they have had success buying from the Championship as they are able to say 'look, sign with us and you can get a move to a top team". Michael Olise has gone to Bayern Munich and Eberechi Eze, Marc Guehi (after a loan to Swansea) and Adam Wharton have all broken into the England squad after a move to key for Fulham will be to have a success story to point to.

Transfer Q&A: Where next for Vardy?
BBC Sport's football news reporter Nick Mashiter has been answering your questions on the transfer Surrey: Any rumours on where Jamie Vardy might go? Will he try to stay in the Premier League or will he go down to the Championship so he can be the 'main man'?Nick: Vardy will still be an asset for whichever club he joins this summer, given his experience and desire to keep scoring has got nine goals this season, perhaps outstripping expectation - especially in a team that has struggled to score - and he needs one more to reach 200 goals for Leicester, with just two games of his Foxes career enjoyed a good relationship with Dean Smith during his brief spell at Leicester, with the former Foxes boss now doing well with Charlotte in the was eager to sign Vardy last summer so don't be surprised if there is interest there, although you can rule out any links to 38-year-old will likely have to take a pay cut for his next move but there is a clear inner belief that he can still play in the Premier League.

Transfer Q&A: West Ham's summer plans
BBC Sport's chief football news reporter Simon Stone has been answering your questions on the transfer Surrey: I'm a West Ham fan and we need a squad overhaul. I was wondering how you think we should strengthen the squad and which players we'll have to sell to bring players in?Simon: I touched on this in my match report on Sunday. Clearly, the much-hyped recruitment campaign under Tim Steidten and Julen Lopetegui last summer went badly wrong. Aaron Wan-Bissaka did well and Max Kilman was OK but Crysencio Summerville, Guido Rodriguez, Luis Guilherme and Niclas Fullkrug failed to reach the heights expected on a consistent Ferguson came in as an answer to striking issues in the winter window, but couldn't establish himself. Now, West Ham need to find a way of funding Graham Potter's squad-building plans because the Declan Rice money has gone, there is no European football and West Ham's league position is costing them Premier League prize Lucas Paqueta's future still uncertain, selling Mohammed Kudus is now a distinct possibility. The massive concern for me is around skipper Jarrod Bowen. West Ham could get a lot of money for him, but he feels like someone you build a squad of recruitment Kyle Macaulay will be a key figure in identifying potential targets, having worked with Potter since his days in Sweden. I would think more dynamism in midfield will be a major aim, as well as a consistent goalscorer.
