Gogo Manzini, real name Tyra Sindane, has died.
According to a statement, she died on Thursday after a short illness.
After making headlines for her transformative surgeries earlier this year, she celebrated self-expression and empowered others.

According to a statement shared with News24, Manzini died Thursday, 5 June, after a short illness.
'Tyra was a cherished friend, colleague, family member, public figure and mom whose presence touched the lives of so many,' the statement read. 'Tyra will be remembered for her passion for healing others, unwavering kindness, dedication to her community and the joy she brought to everyone around her.'
'At this time, we ask for privacy and respect as her family and loved ones navigate this incredibly difficult moment.'
Further information about Manzini's memorial and funeral service details will be shared 'in due course.'
Earlier in the year, Manzini underwent several transformative surgeries, including a Brazilian butt lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, rhinoplasty, fox eye left and breast augmentation, in Turkey.
Speaking to News24 in January, she said: 'Gym was not working for me and my shape – or I'm too lazy. I love clothes and fashion, but I found that clothes were just not sitting right on me. So, I decided if the body won't come to me, I need to fetch it. Everyone has something they wish to fix or adjust, but they are not brave enough. I am brave enough.'
She also spoke about how proudly and boldly living as a transgender woman.
'I share my story and journey with people as I know there is someone out there who can relate to my struggles. I want to say that if you are uncomfortable with a certain body type, change it,' Manzini said. 'God has given you the authority to change what you don't like, whether body, sexuality, gender or even a job. This is not just a procedure for me, but a statement.'
