Aldrees opens new station in Shaqra
Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Co. opened a new station in Shaqra, Al-Rawdah district. The station has a full range of facilities and brings the total number of stations to more than 1,150, the company said on its official X account. Aldrees had 1,050 stations by the end of 2024, it noted.

Yellow thunderstorm warning for part of the East of England
A yellow warning for thunderstorms has been issued by the Met Office for some areas in the East of warning covers Northamptonshire, Central Bedfordshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes between 12:00 BST and 22:00 on Met Office said scattered thunderstorms could lead to some flooding and disruption as well as delays or cancellations to some train and bus services.A spokesperson said: "Lightning, hail and gusty winds will be additional hazards. Showers and thunderstorms will ease through the evening." The spokesperson added the thunderstorms would be "fairly fast-moving" and rain could be "intense" for short periods of time. They estimated it could produce 20mm (0.8in) to 30 mm (1.2in) of rainfall in less than an hour. About 40mm (1.6in) to 50mm (2in) could fall in one to two hours where thunderstorms were larger.A spokesperson added: "If you find yourself outside and hear thunder, protect yourself by finding a safe enclosed shelter (such as a car)."Do not shelter under or near trees, or other structures which may be struck by lightning. If you are on an elevated area move to lower ground."The warning added there was a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
