King Cetshwayo District a rabies hotspot
With several high risk and hotspot areas for rabies in KZN, pet owners are urged to practice responsible 'pet parenting' and have their animals vaccinated regularly.
As posted on the Rabies Awareness Body in eShowe (Rabies) Facebook page, the two high risk areas in the province are eThekwini and uMgungundlovu municipalities, with King Cetshwayo District a hotspot towards the coastal areas.
'You can help by ensuring your pets are vaccinated. People wait for campaigns, but on any given day there are a great many places offering free rabies vaccinations,' said the Rabies body.
