At least 10 vehicles were damaged after a fire ignited in the parking lot of a business in the borough of Montreal North. (Cosmo Santamaria/CTV News) At least 10 vehicles were damaged after a fire ignited in the parking lot of a business in the borough of Montreal North early Tuesday morning. Montreal police (SPVM) received a 911 call at 2 a.m. about a vehicle on fire on the corner of Industriel and Lacordaire boulevards. 'When police arrived on the scene, they noticed several vehicles were on fire while the Montreal fire department was on its way to control the fire,' said Caroline Chèvrefils, a spokesperson with Montreal police. There were no reported injuries, and there have been no arrests. 'No incendiary object was found at the scene,' she added. 'The scene was protected for investigators.' Damage to the property is considered minor. The file has been transferred to the Montreal police arson squad.

Cambridge man charged for Guelph road rage incident

(revac film's & photography/ A Cambridge man is facing multiple charges after police were told he damaged another driver's vehicle in an apparent road rage incident. It happened on Thursday in the York Road area. A complainant told police he had been driving through a construction zone, carefully swerving around several raised sewer accesses. After he got through the construction, another driver pulled up beside him at a red light and allegedly began yelling at him. Police were told the second driver went straight through the intersection despite being in a turning lane, then cut off the victim and slammed on the brakes. The complainant said the other driver got out of his vehicle, threatened him and then stomped on the front of the victim's vehicle, causing more than $1,000 in damage. A Cambridge man was arrested on Friday and charged with dangerous driving, mischief under $5,000 and stunt driving. His licence was suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
