J-Hope spent the first few months of 2025 releasing a handful of solo tunes, but he has been relatively quiet in recent weeks. That silence has ended, as the BTS star returns to multiple Billboard rankings this frame. He's not back with a just-dropped cut, or even a new full-length, but with an EP that has become a bestselling title yet again.
Hope on the Street Vol. 1 reappears on a trio of Billboard-published lists this frame. J-Hope's EP, which dropped a little more than a year ago, becomes a bestseller once more after being re-released on vinyl, which thousands of fans purchased once the music became available on the format.
Luminate reports that in the past tracking frame, Hope on the Street Vol. 1 project sold another 4,300 copies. That sum is up considerably from the previous period, when it didn't quite manage 250 sales. From one frame to the next, thanks almost entirely to the vinyl drop, J-Hope's project soared by 1,771% in pure purchases.
Hope on the Street Vol. 1 debuts on the Vinyl Albums chart, Billboard's look at the top-selling titles on that one format. It's the only ranking where the EP arrives, versus returns, and it starts at No. 6. J-Hope collects just his second solo career placement on the list. He scored his first with Jack in the Box in 2023, when the album climbed to No. 4.
The EP also brings J-Hope back to the World Albums and Top Album Sales charts. Hope on the Street Vol. 1 reenters the world tally at No. 4 and the all-style, all-language ranking of the top-selling projects in the country at No. 17. Previously, Hope on the Street Vol. 1 led the charge on the World Albums list, but missed becoming a No. 1 on the Top Album Sales roster by just a single space.
Hope on the Street Vol. 1 features half a dozen tracks by J-Hope, including collaborations with artists like Benny Blanco, Nile Rodgers, and his BTS bandmate Jung Kook. The EP peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 and produced several minor commercial hits. Earlier this year, J-Hope scored a trio of Hot 100 wins as 'LV Bag' with Don Toliver, Speedy and Pharrell Williams, 'Sweet Dreams' with Miguel, and his solo tune 'Mona Lisa' all managed to spend at least one frame on the competitive ranking.
