Wispr's Flow Dictation Software Is Now Available To Use On iPhones
Not all dictation apps or functions are created equal. Now Flow from Wispr is available for iOS ... More devices so you can dictate accurately from inside any app using the power of AI to clean up text.
You're in a hurry and you dictate a quick message into your iPhone and hit send. A little later you read what your iPhone wrote and realize the recipient's name is spelled all wrong and the punctuation has mangled the meaning of your message.
How embarrassing. You've ended up sending total gibberish and need to send a follow-up text to apologize for your less-than-perfect Text because you used Voice-to-Text on your iPhone. Don't worry! We've all been there.
According to the developer Wispr, Flow is the first dictation app and voice interface for iOS that can work inside any app, whether that is Slack, Messages, Mail or Word. The software is designed to turn messy and real-world speech into polished and properly formatted writing.
No matter whether you're writing a note while walking the dog, clearing out an inbox, drafting a complex document or sending a Slack reply while in a coffee shop, Wispr says Flow can take what you say and apply AI to tidy up and format the message.
Thanks to AI, Flow strips out filler words like 'umm' and 'err' as well as autocorrecting verbal ticks and fumbles and correcting any awkward phrasing or spelling. Flow says the result is faster and more fluent dictation that can produce professional-grade writing.
Flow for iOS can syncronize user library and smart learning across platforms.
Wispr says that Flow for iOS has been designed for real life, like when your hands are full, you're multitasking or your laptop is out of reach. What makes Flow different is its use of AI to produce polished output. Dictation can be cleaned up and made ready to send without the need for extensive edits.
Flow for iOS works inside every app whether that's Mail, Messages, Slack or Notion. The app doesn't use special commands and recognizes human speech before handling punctuation and formatting.
With its ability to learn how you speak, Flow can remember custom names, acronyms and phrases that can be added to a personal dictionary. Users can dictate quietly into their phone and leave Flow to do the rest.
Flow also has a shortcut for capturing notes and then syncing with the desktop version of the software. With the ability to work in more than 100 languages, Flow for iOS claims to be up to four times faster than typing.
Since the desktop version of Flow was launched for macOS and Windows last year, Wispr says its dictation software has been used by thousands of professionals, creatives, students and vibe coders. Flow is free to use—up to a weekly word limit—and can be upgrade anytime for unlimited dictation and more advanced features. With the ability to work as a standalone app or alongside Flow Desktop, the user's account, dictionary and notes can stay in sync across Macs, Windows PC and iOS devices.
Flow for iOS is available from Wispr now and is free to use for up to 2,000 words a week. For $12 a month, Flow Pro offers unlimited dictation with advanced features and early access to new features before they are released to the free version.
