Granddaughters make history with 'world first' wing-walk
Three cousins have "made aviation history" by performing a daring triple formation wing walk, believed to be a world Brewer, 21, Rose Powell, 20, and Jasmine Norman, 20, flew metres apart on the wings of three vintage bi-planes on Saturday over Rendcomb Airfield in Cirencester, Gloucestershire. The trio are granddaughters of Vic Norman, 78, founder of AeroSuperBatics, the world's only formation wing walking said: "I can absolutely tell you that there won't be three granddaughters who have ever flown on the wing of an aeroplane in formation, at the same time. It'll be the first time it's ever happened in the world." About 85 friends and family members gathered to watch the feat. They described the six-minute flight, which travelled at speeds of up to 120mph (193kmph), as "insane, powerful and thrilling".Jasmine, who is training to become a professional wing walker, said: "It felt very powerful, having Rose and Flame next to me and all flying up at the same time."We've all done solo flights before, but doing the formation together felt very full circle."Mr Norman, who piloted one of the aircraft, has been flying since the age of 17 and founded AeroSuperBatics nearly 40 years ago. He has flown in more than 1,500 displays and taken celebrities – including Elon Musk – on flights. The cousins grew up watching family members wing-walk. Flame and Rose also hold the record as the youngest formation wing-walkers, aged nine. They completed coordinated moves while battling 100mph (160kmph) winds in Norman said: "It's like a circus in the sky. And to fly with my granddaughters like this — it's a dream come true."

Tom Cruise Details His Most Brutal MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE Stunt Yet - 'It Was So Violent' — GeekTyrant
Tom Cruise is once again pushing the limits of what's possible in action movie, and this time, he's taking it to wild and terrifying new heights. In a surprise appearance at the Cannes Film Festival during a TikTok creator workshop, Cruise popped in for a fireside chat with creator Reece Feldman (@guywithamoviecamera), where he dropped some exciting teases about Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning , including a wing-walking stunt that is absolutely insane. Cruise told Feldman: 'We just finished The Final Reckoning .' When Feldman asked Cruise about the death-defying aerial sequence in the film, Cruise said he applied his 'decades of knowledge' flying planes. He said: 'I'm an aerobatic pilot being able to fly these airplanes, so I now choose the airplane and present it — what colors should they be, what engineers do I have building this aircraft and working on the engines and how far can I push that aircraft? 'Now I have to hire the crew; I audition the crew around me. And I'm learning how to wing walk, and this kind of wing-walking that we're doing has never been done before because what I want to do is really, really extreme.' I love that Cruise designed the entire operation for this stunt, and that it included training a team of top-tier pilots to fly the plane with him on it. Cruise said he wanted to go full zero-G when walking between the wings of the airplane, and he shared: 'I'm going, how long can I hold the airplane in an inverted position? The engine stops after a few seconds because it's not a fuel injection, so I know the engine's going to stop. So what we have to do is just take our time, and I'm just approaching it step by step.' In case that doesn't sound insane enough, he added: 'I'm a human being on that airplane — it was violent. It was so violent on that airplane. The amount of air force that's coming over that wing…' Cruise has become a master at orchestrating cinematic mayhem with the stunts he performs. Having seen the movie, I can tell you that this stunt is absolutely amazing! It was so intense and so thrilling that I was on the edge of my seat holding my breath! I couldn't believe what Cruise was pulling off in this action sequence! It was mind-blowing! Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning debuts in theaters on May 23rd. Via: Variety
