Evening, overnight lane reductions to begin on Route 104
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WROC) – The New York State Department of Transportation is advising drivers to expect lane reductions in Monroe County on State Route 104 between Culver Road in the town of Irondequoit and Lake Avenue in Rochester. This will take place starting Monday, May 19, from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. The DOT says this is expected to conclude August 30.
Paving will begin in Rochester in the eastbound direction. The DOT says the on and off ramps will be closed with posted detours. Construction is weather dependent and are subject to change.
The DOT urges drivers to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone, and convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in an individual's driver's license being suspended.
