Man 'lucky' not to have killed stranger he stabbed in Ilfracombe
A 56-year-old man who launched an unprovoked knife attack on a stranger was fortunate not to have killed him, a judge has Lammas, of Belvedere Road, Ilfracombe, stabbed a 33-year-old man multiple times on the high street in the north Devon town in September Exeter Crown Court, Lammas admitted wounding with intent and was jailed for three years and four Anna Richardson said "such an unprovoked attack would be terrifying" for the victim. The court heard Lammas admit he "went a bit far" as he went to help a girl who he thought the victim was attacking or having a heated row victim needed hospital treatment and said he was suffering panic attacks and court also heard Lammas, who has complex post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), had drunk alcohol and used cannabis and Valium before the incident.

Hong Kong court bails ‘Mrs Ho', with ‘Mr Ho' in hospital under police supervision
A Hong Kong court has bailed internet personality 'Mrs Ho', while husband 'Mr Ho' remains under police supervision in hospital in connection with a domestic violence dispute between the pair that resulted in the wife suffering a knife wound. West Kowloon Court heard the case on Saturday morning, a day after the couple were arrested and charged. Ho Huen, a 77-year-old who is widely known as Mr Ho, has been charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding his wife with intent to do grievous bodily harm. A court document shows that 44-year-old Ye Xiuding, known as Mrs Ho, is facing a charge of unlawfully and maliciously wounding her husband. The couple first garnered media attention during a whirlwind romance that saw the older Hongkonger tie the knot with the younger mainland Chinese woman within a month of meeting each other.

Corby man jailed for knife attack on neighbour 'over bins'
A man who seriously injured his neighbour with a knife after a row about bins has been Sergio Smith, 45, from Corby, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and possession of Police said the "extremely violent attack" in Corby in July left a man in his 30s with a "serious slash wound to his face" and life-changing injuries. Smith was sentenced to 10 years and four months at Northampton Crown Court. A man called 999 on 4 July 2024 after finding his friend covered in blood outside his flat in Llewellyn Walk, Corby."A dispute over bins was suspected to have been the catalyst for the attack," police Con Sam Bennett said: "This was an extremely violent attack which has left the victim with permanent scars and while no sentence will make up for what happened, I am pleased that Michael Smith has been handed this significant sentence."Using a knife to settle a dispute should never be an option and I hope this result sends a clear message to anyone who carries one."He thanked the victim and his family for their support with the case. Man in court after 14-year-old boy stabbed in Pontefract
An 18-year-old man has appeared in court after a 14-year-old boy was found with stab wounds at a property in were called to assist the ambulance service at a property in Eastbourne View just after 19:30 BST on Sunday. Two people were arrested at the scene, West Yorkshire Police victim was taken to hospital where he was treated for injuries not thought to be life-threatening, officers Clarke, 18, appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court on Tuesday charged with wounding with intent and possessing an offensive weapon in a public place. Man and woman arrested over West Kirby beach brawl
A man and a woman have been arrested after police investigated a beach fight which left another woman with head woman, in her twenties, was taken to hospital after a disturbance on West Kirby beach on South Parade in Wirral at about 18:50 BST on Sunday, Merseyside Police was later discharged.A 33-year-old woman from Moreton was held on suspicion of wounding with intent, while a 37-year-old man from Woodchurch was arrested on suspicion of affray. Appealing for video footage, Det Insp Sarah Wilkinson, said: "We understand the distress that this incident will have caused to those enjoying West Kirby on a sunny evening, including families and young children."She said there was no wider threat to the public. "I would ask that anyone who saw the incident, or captured anything on mobile phones or other devices to come forward. We will be in the area to gather information and offer reassurance as we look into exactly what happened," she added.
