Doctors said I was ‘too young' to be seriously ill. I had Stage 4 cancer.
Three years ago, before I learned that I had metastatic cancer, doctors repeatedly told me I was 'too young' to be seriously ill.
I was 26.
My symptoms were brushed off as stress, bad luck or something I'd eventually get over. After more than five months of dead ends and dismissals, I even started questioning my sanity.
