5 youth plead guilty in swarming attack on 13-year-old Kelowna girl
Five youth suspects involved in a violent swarming attack on a 13-year-old girl in Kelowna last year have entered guilty pleas, prosecutors confirmed.
One young person was sentenced to two years of probation on April 25, after pleading guilty to assault in January, a spokesperson for the B.C. Prosecution Service told CTV News.
The other four pleaded guilty to assault in April and May, and have court appearances scheduled in June and July.

The offenders cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The Sept. 27 attack at Kelowna's Gyro Beach left the young victim with bruised ribs and a concussion, according to her father.

Dozens of teenagers watched as the girl was beaten to the point of unconsciousness, some taking video of the incident which later circulated widely on social media.
At the time, the RCMP said out of about 30 people present during the attack, two called police and attempted to intervene.
