Diljit Dosanjh starrer upcoming comedy-thriller Detective Sherdil is finally going to release. On June 20. And to keep fans excited, behind-the-scenes photos from the sets have recently gone viral. The pictures, shared by Ravi Chhabriya, offer a glimpse into the quirky, energetic world of Detective Sherdil. Taking to his Instagram handle, Ravi Chhabriya shared photos and wrote, 'Detective SherDil 20th June on #zee5 Directed & Edited by (yours truly)" The trailer of Diljit Dosanjh's highly-anticipated comey-thriller 'Detective Sherdil' was released a few days ago. The trailer left fans excited for the film's release. Earlier, Bollywood stars Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif cheered for the trailer of Detective Sherdil. But now, it's ready to roar back into the spotlight, and will premiere directly on ZEE5 on June 20. Diljit stars as a quirky, loveably eccentric detective in this film. Set in the stunning backdrop of Budapest, Detective Sherdil brings together suspense, humour, and a string of suspicious characters in what promises to be a fun, family-friendly ride. Expect a cocktail of bizarre cases, hilarious twists, and an unpredictable plot where nothing is quite what it seems. This is Diljit's second collaboration with Ali Abbas Zafar after their critically appreciated drama Jogi. Punjabi phenom Diljit Dosanjh is making a return to films after his critically acclaimed performance in Imtiaz Ali's Amar Singh Chamkila. This time the singer-actor will be emulating many great fictional detectives of the world, like Sherlock Holmes, Byomkesh Bakshi and Karamchand in the film Detective Sherdil. In the trailer, Diljit's Detective Sherdil is called upon by a wealthy family after the patriarch of the same household, played by Boman Irani, is murdered brutally for reasons unknown. The trailer and the characters seem to suggest that director Ravi Chhabria has attempted to make a film cut from the same cloth as the Hollywood movie Knives Out (2019). A rich family, the death of the senior-most member, a lot of money in the balance, and extremely questionable family members with a lot of issues are just some of the similarities. Sherdil extends his help to the lot, and soon the entire family finds themselves on the other side of the investigation. With the classic whodunit theme right at the core of this narrative, the film, due to its cast and story, has the potential of being a fun-filled detour for its audiences.
