Cross-Channel ferry sailings may be disrupted.
Météo France says that the wind is expected to drop by Friday afternoon, but heavy rain is expected on Friday night and Saturday morning in northern and central France. Brittany, Pays-de-la-Loire and Normandy could see up to 50mm of rain in some areas.
The Brittany département of Morbihan is on orange alert for localised flooding, while 22 départements are on yellow alert, the lowest level, for strong winds and rain.
