Egyptian man stabs doctor for 'killing' his wife in childbirth operation

ALBAWABA - A horrifying incident recently jolted Egypt after an Egyptian man stabbed a doctor whom he believed had a hand in killing his wife during a childbirth operation, as reported by Al Arabiya.
The stabbing incident occurred Sunday night when the citizen attacked Dr. Ahmed Salah El-Din inside a private building. The doctor was quickly transferred to a hospital in Luxor, underwent medical examinations, and was put in intensive care due to the seriousness of his injury.

According to Egyptian authorities, the man was arrested and charged with attempted murder after stabbing the doctor in the back while he was drinking water.
Egypt's Doctors Syndicate in Luxor also took legal action against the individual and filed an official lawsuit accusing the man of attempted murder. Additionally, the syndicate is closely monitoring the doctor to ensure his safety and guarantee all his necessary legal rights.
The organization also stressed against any assault on local doctors, under any circumstances.
Egypt has recently witnessed an increase in such incidents. A surgeon in Northern Cairo also got assaulted by a member of parliament while working in the hospital, and another doctor was repeatedly beaten up by a patient who visited his clinic.
