Fighter's View: Al-Qassam releases first-person footage of the viral Jabalia ambushes
ALBAWABA - The Al-Qassam Brigades, which is Hamas's military wing, released new video on Saturday that shows its soldiers setting up deadly ambushes against Israeli forces in the northern Gaza city of Jabalia. This is a huge step up in their media campaign. The news comes just a few days after drone video of the same actions went viral online. A camera placed on a fighter's body gives the new video, which is part of the group's ongoing "David's Stones" campaign, a unique view. The first was on June 23, 2025, when Qassam fighters lured an Israeli unit into a trap east of Jabalia and killed three soldiers at point-blank range. The second was on July 12, 2025, when Israeli troops and vehicles were attacked in central Jabalia. A "Tandem 85" shell was used to hit a Merkava tank directly, and then a high-powered "Barq" explosive device went off. The video shows the fighters getting ready for battle, moving through damaged buildings, setting off bombs near tanks, and running away from the enemy while smoke and debris hide their tracks. Just before the attack, one fighter spoke to the camera and vowed to get payback on the Israeli army, calling it "too weak to defeat a nation led by Prophet Muhammad." Israeli planes were seen taking the injured to safety. From July 15–17, explosive charges and "Yassin 105" anti-tank rounds were used to attack more tanks near the Nama Club and the Al-Omari Mosque. The group made it clear that these operations are part of a larger plan called "attrition," which is meant to wear down Israeli ground troops and cause them mental and physical harm. The films are used for both operations and propaganda. They are meant to show that the Palestinians are winning on the ground and boost their followers' confidence. Since the start of the ground attack, Al-Qassam and other Gaza-based groups have leaned more and more on visual data to show how they fight and how much the Israeli military operation costs.

"Israel" admitted on Sunday to the death of an occupation soldier in Jabalia in the northern Gaza Strip.
