‘Sout Al Shabiba – Tamkeen wa Ta'theer' Forum to Focus on Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship

Muscat: Aligned with Oman Vision 2040 and its strategic focus on empowering youth and supporting SMEs growth, Al Shabiba — the leading Arabic daily from Muscat Media Group — is organising the 'Sout Al Shabiba – Tamkeen wa Ta'theer' Forum, dedicated to youth empowerment and impact. The forum will be held on Monday, 23rd June, at JW Marriott, Oman Convention & Exhibition Centre (OCEC), Muscat, under the esteemed patronage of His Highness Sayyid Faris bin Fatik Al Said. The Arabic-language forum will serve as a vibrant platform for open dialogue, bringing together the voices of next-generation leaders, entrepreneurs, industry leaders and decision-makers. It is designed to encourage impactful discussions around the aspirations, challenges and opportunities facing young Omanis, while also promoting sustainable and inclusive national growth. The event is supported by Development Bank, Changan, Turkish Airlines, Global College of Engineering & Technology and Ahmed Al Muqbali Advocate and Legal Consultants, who share a common vision of creating meaningful opportunities for Oman's youth. Key topics to be explored include youth and Oman Vision 2040, entrepreneurship and innovation, Omanisation in the digital era, SME contributions to economic growth, In Country Value (ICV) and local talent development and green economy opportunities. The agenda also covers skills development, education-industry alignment, youth financing, expanding the startup ecosystem, mentorship, public-private partnerships, social impact and preparing youth for the workforce of the future. The day will feature two key panel discussions. The first panel, titled 'Cultivating Entrepreneurship & Innovation for Omani Youth', will include renowned industry experts including Eng. Abdulrahman Al Yahyaei, CEO, Integrated Gas Company (IGC); Eng. Said Al Shanfari, CEO, Oman Convention and Exhibition Center (OCEC); Ali Ahmed Muqaibal, CEO, Sharakah; Dr. Sulaiman Al Hasani, Deputy Dean Academic and Resources, Global College; Hamad Salim Al Harthi, Chief of Small, Medium Enterprises, Micro Businesses and Portfolio Management, Oman Development Bank; Khalid Al Mahrooqi, Co-Founder & CEO, Qpay plus Abdullah Nasser Al Saidi, a noted media professional as the moderator. The second panel on 'Policy, Collaboration & Sustainability for Youth Empowerment', will bring together distinguished voices from across sectors including Hassan Haider Mohammed Jawad Al-Lawati, Chairman, Oman Association for Persons with Disabilities; Ghassan Fadhal, Director, Tashgheel; Rumaitha Al Busaidi, Vice President, Environment Society of Oman (ESO); Eng. Abdallah Al Wahaibi, CEO, Tatweer Duqm; and Lawyer Omran Aljabri, CEO Deputy, Ahmed Al-Muqbali Advocate and Legal Consultants. The panel will be moderated by Khalfan bin Saeed Al Amri, noted media professional and Oman TV presenter. The forum will also host an impressive lineup of speakers including Dr. Ghalib bin Saif al Hosni, Chairman, OSHRM and Chief People Officer, Omantel; Eng.
