As reported by Collider, fans can expect bigger drama, tougher competition, and a fresh twist that sets this season apart from previous ones. On April 23, Paramount+ and World of Wonder made the big reveal, announcing the names of the 18 queens competing in this milestone season. Alongside the cast announcement, they also shared details about the new structure of the show. These groups will compete separately in a bracket-style format. Each bracket will last three episodes, during which the queens will battle it out only among their own group. At the end of the bracket rounds, the top-performing queen from each group—based on their total points—will move forward to the semi-finals. That round will last two episodes and feature the top contestants from all three groups competing against each other. The winners from this stage will move on to the grand finale. The season finale promises a high-energy Lip Sync Smackdown, where the best of the best will fight for the crown. The winner will not only take home a $200,000 cash prize but also earn a place in the prestigious Drag Race Hall of Fame . The names of the 18 queens were made official by Paramount+ and World of Wonder on Wednesday, April 23. This came along with a major twist in the format, Entertainment Weekly 10th edition of the reality competition will have a total of 12 episodes this time, according to Collider. The 18 biggest names in the franchise will be divided into three different groups, with each of them getting depicted by its own unique colour.
