Bank Al-Maghrib Unveils New Platform for Personal Banking Access at GITEX Africa
Rabat – Bank Al-Maghrib (BAM) has introduced a new online portal that grants Moroccan citizens direct access to their bank account information.
The platform offers a secure and immediate way to retrieve personal account data without relying on in-person visits or intermediaries.
During the highly anticipated opening of Gitex Africa 2025 in Marrakech, BAM launched its new digital portal as part of a broader wave of initiatives to fuel Africa's digital revolution.
The launch points to a decisive step in the central bank's drive to modernize public services and echoes the event's wider atmosphere of ambition and forward-looking tech solutions.
The portal is part of a broader push to make essential banking information more accessible to the general public.
Through this new service, users can review a comprehensive list of their bank accounts, regardless of whether those accounts remain active or have already been closed.

The portal also provides an official channel for heirs and legal representatives to request details about the bank accounts of a deceased person, which can then be retrieved from a BAM agency of their choice. In addition, individuals who issue checks can check for any reported payment issues related to their checks.
To ensure that access remains secure, BAM has integrated Morocco's official identity verification system, which relies on national identification documents managed by the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The portal is now accessible to the public and forms part of the Central Bank's overall strategy to modernize the way important financial information is delivered to citizens.
